Room was clean, staff were nice, and free breakfast choices are so much better than most US hotels.

Hi Arrived in the hotel at 5 am, I asked for a half day early check in but was quoted a full day rate. They did offer me a 75% rate for a 9 am check in. I came back to the hotel around 8 am and asked if I was allowed in, the front desk crew has now changed and offered me a 50% day rate which I gladly accepted. After getting into my room, the front desk called me to rescind the 50% rate and changed it back to 75%. I was tired and did not want to complain too much I thought this was really not professional and customer oriented move.

One of favorite hotel in Taipei. Excellent guest service and their pool is divine.

Good location and only 5 minutes walk to MRT. Plenty of eateries around. The hotel facilities are a bit aged but still well maintained and very clean. Great breakfast in the French restaurant. Highly recommended!

Le palais restaurant isn’t what a Michelin 3 stars restaurant should be - out of items, no advanced notification of notable pre-order items, tables placed too close to each others, captain missing item ordered, argue with guest. Not a good experience for any restaurant let alone a highest Michelin rated establishment. What a shame this place awarded such pedigree. As for the hotel, room, and the restaurant, cheap materials thru out masked by dark ambient. Fake 5 stars. Do not recommend.

Disappointing Stay — Overpriced and Misleading The location of the hotel was good, but unfortunately, the overall experience did not justify the price. The hotel promotes environmental sustainability by not providing basic personal amenities such as a toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, shower cap, or comb. I understand and support efforts to reduce unnecessary plastic waste, but it felt contradictory to see the room stocked with plastic utensils. If sustainability is a priority, the hotel should apply that philosophy consistently throughout the property. The pictures advertised online were also deceiving and appeared to be outdated compared with the actual condition of the room. The shower head was broken, which made using the shower inconvenient. The room provided coffee, but there was no sugar or milk/creamer, which made the coffee setup feel incomplete. Overall, while the location was convenient, the outdated photos, maintenance issues, inconsistent approach to sustainability, and lack of basic amenities made the stay disappointing. For the price, I expected a much better experience and do not feel the hotel offered good value.
