Check-in was delayed 2 hours after I arrived. To make it worse, it was iterative, 15 minutes at a time, so I was essentially trapped in the lobby. Eventually a suite was opened up as an upgrade, but only after I complained vigorously that the delay was unacceptable. Clearly this could have happened much sooner. Nobody bothered to follow up. A $500 discount on my stay was supposedly entered in front of me, but never showed up. The various emails to the Ritz to inquire about this missing discount have gone unanswered. Do better!
