This place was amazing. It was our first time and everyone was so welcoming. Richard our butler was always there when we needed him. He was absolutely amazing. Dario first showed us around when we got there and always checked on us. The lobby bar had the best bartenders. This will eventually become a very nice hotel. Given our attendance 10 days after its opening, about 60% of the hotel was completed. As a result, we weren’t able to enjoy everything that is listed. However the great thing is they offered us a complimentary return visit for the same number of people and number of days! The Pros: They have the best fitness center I’ve ever seen at a resort. It has a spin room, boxing room, polytechnics room, stair masters, treadmills all looking out at the beautiful golf course. There are plenty of seating areas throughout the resort. The bowling center (about 13-14 lanes) and sports bar was nice, especially during NBA finals. The best restaurant to book was the Mediterranean restaurant. Food was very nicely seasoned and great portion size. The hotel is very spacious and you never feel like it’s tons of people. The Cons: Ocean view is NOT what you think. DR has some type of restriction where this resort had to be so far away from the ocean. So it really is like viewing the ocean from a distance past a forest. We purchase ocean view but it was nothing but construction and forestry. The pool closed very early like at 6pm. The food wasn’t the best at the restaurants we booked (Italian, Mexican). They ran out of some of the items listed and it wasn’t seasoned well. The spa was ok. Our therapist did a lot of rubbing rather than massaging. For the price, it wasn’t worth it to me or my husband (a couples massage was almost $700).

Mirage hotel Punta Cana has its ups and downs, but overall I would rate my 7 days stay around 4 out of 5. The resort is somewhat limited for families, especially for dining. If you have a child under 12, restaurant options are restricted to Japanese, Italian, Don Jaume Stake House, Marketplace and Seaside, while French restaurant is not available. BReakfast hours are also quite limited. Marketplace closes at 10:00 am and Seaside at 11:30 am, leaving small window in the morning. If you prefer to sleep in, you may miss breakfast. Food variety, quality and overall dining experience would be around 4/5 decent but no extensive. The beach had a lot of seaweed during my stay, although it improved over time. There are many daily activities and nightly entertainment options. Amenities including coffee shops, a drugs store, sport bars and multiple bars around the property. One drawback is the Pool layout. There is not central main pool instead there is a large swim up pool. The bubble party was a highlight and very fun with plenty of float ties for kids. Kids water park is a short walk at Majestic Elegance Resort. It is a bit worn down but still good and enjoyable for children. Staff are friendly and helpful and resort clean and well maintained. Overall, in my opinion this is not a luxury hotel but it offers good value considering the services, food and amenities facilities.

Every employee I encountered was kind, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. They went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable, cared for, and safe throughout my entire stay. Whether I was relaxing around the resort, dining, or exploring the property, I always had peace of mind knowing the staff was attentive and looking out for their guests. The level of service and attention to detail was exceptional, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy my vacation. I left with wonderful memories and can’t thank the team enough for making my stay so special.
