Severe health and hygiene issues - confirmed bedbugs. We experienced a severe hygiene issue during our stay at this property. Within the first 48 hours, my husband began developing severe bite marks. We notified the front desk immediately to request a deep clean and fresh bedding, but the issue was dismissed as local outdoor bug bites. Despite thoroughly checking the room initially and finding nothing, we later discovered a dead bedbug under the covers. We have photographic documentation of both the insect and the daily bite patterns. Other guests have noted similar experiences in past reviews. Travelers should exercise caution when booking this location.

Excellent hotel and location. Lighting in room, especially over bathroom sink was insufficient. Hotel did not provide wash cloths. Breakfast was great. Rooftop deck is very nice!

Great location with spacious rooms. Breakfast offered was only OK. Hotel is really small. Stayed at similar hotel for similar price and liked it way better for the price.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Went above and beyond - eg they offered to store my bag while we did a trip to the islands in the middle of our hotel stay. Renovations underway that didn’t affect our visit. Bistro had great food and drinks.

The host greeted us warmly, offered us juice and chocolate on arrival!! The hotel staff was wonderful and the property was super clean! We dined on the rooftop the first night! We had a lovely view of the Acropolis. The food was exceptional as was the service! The breakfast buffet was large and fresh! The bed was comfortable! We did hear the noise from outside traffic and in the hallway. That was the only issue. The staff helped us arrange taxi service to the airport! Overall a great stay!

For the cost, this hotel was a significant disappointment. There simply is not enough on offer to justify the sky high prices charged. The hotel is not by the sea, does not have a significant restaurant and the rooms were very minimalist, too few drawers and an open wardrobe. The bathroom was just about ok, but the shower was disappointing and the towels just not big enough. And we had a junior suite which comes with free alcohol, but soft drinks including, initially, water were chargeable! This changed, however, and small bottles of water were left by the bedside each evening. The bed had a 4 poster frame which attempted to suggest something, but manifestly failed. The mattress lay on a rather dirty base which was wider than the mattress so showed its stains for all to see. There was a gap at the head of the bed so the pillows fell into it. All in all, had it been half price, you’d just about accept it on the basis that it was still 25% too expensive but that’s the way these days. As a friend who stayed with us there commented, “it’s a 3 star hotel charging 6 star prices!” Breakfast was nice and the staff also made great efforts but this alone is simply not enough to make this the 5 star hotel it prices itself as.
