Clean and spacious room, service was excellent, I would stay there again for sure.

The staff was very friendly. The food was ok. Getting a coffee refill took time. It was nice having coffee in the lounges. Our room was situated overlooking the pool and at night receptions held there very loud All in all a good place with an amazing beach!!

Had to hound the staff for simple things like a safe, tv, shampoo, etc.

We stayed at the Barcelo Beach adult only. We did the premium package. The VIP desk and lounge is a joke. They were not very helpful. No premium liquer or drinks at all. Not like other Barcelo's. The room location was great. We were on the third floor but there are two elevators and they were fast. The room itself was very outdated. We were at 1079 and it was on the end and very quite. There is a bath tub which is high and hard to get in and out. Plenty of hot water, and the bed was comfortable. The fridge had 3 mini beers and was Presidente and no light beer option. The air-conditioning was great. The bell boys were great! Very helpful. To get to the Palace resort, other restaurants, spa etc. you had to get a ride in what looked like a "train". Sometimes had to wait a long time. The lobby bar was the best! Shot out to Yovelin Montero, great bartender and spoke english! The beach was amazing! The sand was soft and not hot. The beach/pool chair situation was pretty good. The pool was smaller and no swim up bar. The only time we ate at the buffets restaurants was for breakfast and it was good. Definatley need more than one toaster for bread. Ate at the specialty restaurants the other days for lunch and dinner. Was able to prebook online before we got there being a premium guest which was nice. The Steak House, Mexico Lindo, Chez Gourmet and El Coral were terrible! Hoya 19 and Koyoto were okay. The La Brisa was the best for lunch and dinner!The Spa was nice but no auromatherapy.

I enyojed everything in the hotel

Wet nice facility. Rather pricey. Noisy at times due to young children. Great location close to Old Town. Carpeted rooms a bit musty. Had to change rooms due to allergies. The staff accommodated us.
