Pool and gym excellent, breakfast world class too.

This was my first time staying at a RIU facility and we had a great time. It was a birthday trip and the front desk staff were very accommodating in moving us away from the construction site. The area is developing and will soon include numerous hotels and shopping centers.
The beach and pool is great, but the cleanliness of the pool could be better (the gutters have yellow stain all over them). But the lifeguard does amazing job in keepinh everyone safe and enforcing the no food/drink at the regular pool area.
The restaurants, we loved the italian and i enjoyed the lebanese. Buffet was a hit and miss. Breakfast is simple and lunch and dinner have a lot more variety. The unfortunate part was that my mother got food poisoning the last day we were there (during breakfast) and wish there was a vending machine in the lobby with some over the counter medication. She ended up in bed for an entire day with excruciating stomach pains and the "nurse" at the resort was a joke. She cant do anything and when i asked what she can do, she just shrugged her shoulders. I ended up taking a cab to the pharmacy. I did find Antinal which is amazing and paid $3 in one of the mall pharmacies.
Overall, we would go back but will be more prepared with food poisoning medication.
