It was a nice hotel but too noisy from the street I’m probably won’t stay there anymore

The most annoying was that if you go to the beach early, before 10am there are no sun-beds, as the workers collect them every day at 5pm, so you have to leave at 5pm. Also you have to rent a regular umbrella every day for $38, which is annoying. There are no outdoor showers at the beach or pool area, which is not acceptable at this kind of hotel. It is a little overpriced for the amenities offered. The stuff is expecting tips left and right. Every time you want a towel, the stuff does not hand you it, even when asked, they walk with you to the chair on the beach , so you have to tip them. Also the hotel does not clean their beach if there is seagrass on the shore.

None of the rooms are designed efficiently in this hotel. We got our first room at check-in, had NO drawers for our clothes. The second room we got, the toilet was separate from the sinks (you want to wash your hands right after you use the toilet, not when you come out of it). Also, there should be stable doors to the bathrooms and NOT just glass swinging doors in case someone wants privacy. Why can't they have full-closing locking bathroom doors??? The hallways always smelled of cleaners/musky. Also there SHOULD be a lifeguard always on duty at the pool! Children were not respectful and body diving into the pool, creating a dangerous place for those who just wanted to relax. For there to only be 2 main elevators/1 service elevator for hundreds of guests is unacceptable!! The concierge service at the front desk was OK. Upon checkout, the person there never asked if our stay was good, how did it go...He was very rude and walked away from his station to have a cigarette outside while the the lobby phone rang for 10 minutes and no one else was manning the welcome desk! The complementary breakfast was good and there was a lot of selection. The buffet dinner is not worth what they charge and there's not a lot of selection there. The Alligator bar/eatery is nice and reasonably priced. There's plenty of room around the pool for guests and beach access is pretty easy even though it's not part of the hotel grounds and you have to use your access key to get back in the pool area.

Great place for the price

One of the best highlights of staying at the Hotel Stanford is their AC unit. It has better central air than most all-inclusive resorts I've stayed at. It's like having a polar vortex in your room during the a heat wave in August. Another great highlight of staying at the Hotel Stanford is the convenience of being a two minute walk near the subway via 34 St and Hearld Square. When traveling in NYC, use the subways. It's way more inexpensive and economical than taking an Uber or Lyft. Hotel Stanford also offers guests access to their Netflix and YouTube accounts. The fact that Hotel Stanford is in the middle Korea Town allows guests to choose from a plethora of Korean and other restaurants within a one to 10 minute walk from the hotel. However, I was disappointed in the free breakfast that was included in the stay. I did enjoy its simple options like the salad bar, sliced bread/croissant, french toast, yogurt, scrambled eggs, etc. But who serves chicken nuggets for breakfast? At least offer bacon, sausage, or some kind of alternative such as turkey, chicken or vegetarian based breakfast meats. Another thing - Hotel Stanford only has one elevator and a small one at that. Unless you're in peak physical condition and don't mind walking up or down a few flights of stairs, you're just going to have to wait for the next available lift. Overall: I would stay there again because of the walking distance to the subways, local restaurants, Penn Station and the Empire State Building.
