South East England Mountain Holidays

We were really looking forward to our stay since we had a wonderful stay one year ago When we checked in I was told that since we booked through EXPEDIA we would be getting a room where men would be doing work outside our window for the 5 days that we were there. Therefore we would need to keep the shades down the entire time. The men were climbing up and down ladders in front of our window. We were made to feel like this is what we deserved since we didn’t book with the hotel directly and booked through EXPEDIA

Really warm greeting from the stsff as soon as we stepped into the hotel. Quick & efficient check-in. The room was cleaned to a very high standard. Plenty of choice at breakfast - everything from a full english cooked breakfast to a continental one. My only complaint was that there was no restaurant on site, only a cafe for snacks. Overall a great stsy & would definitely revommend.

Very central, and loved cleanliness. All the staff were great, and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing, and very organized. Staff were very quick to clear and clean tables. Floors maintained exceptionally. Would stay again.

1 Hotel always impresses. I really like the laid back vibe and the location is perfect and beautiful. Everything was as expected. All of the staff members were wonderful except the male host that was there Thursday May 14 at the lobby bar. We were two people and he would not agree to let us wait by the bar for a table or to just have a drink. There were seats open and we were told guests of hotel are okay without reservations. His tone of telling us that there are no seats was rude and he was loud intentionally it seemed for others to hear us be declined entry. When asked when we could be called for a seat he said “oh I don’t know - an hour if at all possible”. Bar was not packed and there were seats at the bar for at least one of us and it would’ve been fine for the other to stand. Another lady coming out to the exit was also come paining about this question persons offensive tone. Not cool. What we like about 1 hotel is their laid back luxury. Anyways he did not ruin our trip and everyone else was wonderfully nice and the rooms were amazing. One final matter was that I dod not ask for an accessible bathroom room on my second stay there this week and they gave me one. The accessible room was very odd and the accessibility equipment which I did not need, was everywhere and for me, took away some Of the amenities like a closed in shower etc.

We have stayed at the hotel several times and it’s one of our favorites when we visit London. The executive rooms are nice and the area, Mayfair, of course is beautiful. You’re just a short walk from everything including Green Park across the street. We love the city and visiting the hotel. This visit sometimes our mini bar was not restocked fully but otherwise we had a terrific time. Thank you, we will be back.

Our family stay at Residence Inn by Marriot Kensington, London May 8-12, 2026 was a wonderful experience. The staff and service are Outstanding! attentive, professional, polite, helpful and truly service-oriented. Rooms & facilities are very good. The Tesco supermarket is 3 minutes walking distance - it's super convenient & perfect for groceries, desserts etc. Earls court underground station is a 10 minute walk. One of the best 'value for money' properties we've enjoyed in a long time. A very special appreciation for Manager, Laust Anderson and hotel staff Joseph for making our stay truly memorable as well as to front desk staff Saif, Matin and Bianca. Looking forward to staying at this property again when visiting London.
