Iwo Jima Mountain Holidays

The staff was great but when we checked in the first room they gave us had not been cleaned so back to the lobby we went. I talked to a lady who i thought was a desk clerk she took me to a counter and proceded to tell them to give me a $125 gift card and help me with my problem so im thinking well thats a bit much i just want a clean room to go to, after i stood there for 15 min i get told that its for banquet i have to attend for some reason or another to get the $125 gift card and had nothing to do with my room. long story short 20 min later got another room it was clean and quite comfortable. vallet staff were super friendly.the gift shop and food court are quite expensive.

My stay at Rio was wonderful. The room was very large, with floor to ceiling windows of the Vegas Strip. A view that was enjoyed from the comforts of my king bed. Great bedding. Very cozy & comfortable. The room was very quiet and clean even over New Years. The elevators operate very quickly, with little to no waiting. There is a Starbucks positioned right on the main floor once you get off the elevators, making it convenient to grab & go in the morning. I loved the separated bathroom from a second extra large vanity counter. Allowing for one person to use the shower, toilet, or sink in private. Giving the other person a large vanity counter for hair or make-up when getting ready. The T.V. was massive (I think 60") with a fantastic selection of programming & movies. Staff was awesome and helpful

My room was very quiet and I enjoyed having the kitchen amenities and the balcony. The bed was average. My only negative comments are related to the unusually excessive daily damage deposit that I wasn’t expecting - big upfront unexpected expense! Also there was no bus cart for me to take groceries up to my room - but the bellmen would do it for a set fee. The pool was lovely, but closed at 7pm, which seemed early to me for summer. I enjoyed my stay, but won’t probably return to this resort.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and close to everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

The room did not have hot water in the shower. The first day we had to let the water (wastefully) run for 30 minutes to get any sort of warmth. Called downstairs to have someone look at it. It eventually got hot. The next day same thing! But this time we were on a time constraint. We didn’t get to shower before we had to leave home. I complained, that we the customer paid these exuberant amounts of resort fees just to have no hot water. The man on the other side was very kind and gave me a breakfast credit as well as waived our resort fees. I probably will try staying here again giving it one more chance because it is very close to UNLV where we go to watch swim meets. I was disappointed this time. Was hoping for better.
