Shengsi Islands Mountain Holidays

Staff were really lovely and looked after us well. They helped us move rooms when the people next door were smoking in the room (against the hotel rules) and even gave us a free upgrade. Rooms were comfortable, with large TV and hairdryer and all the toiletries you would expect. We enjoyed the little robot who delivered takeaways to the rooms!

The Hongqiao Heyitang Hotel is one of the best properties I have stayed in Shanghai in the last twenty years. On the latest trip to China, I stayed there on 3 separate bookings, two with Expedia, and one direct. All 3 rooms surpassed my expectations, with one minor issue with the light in one of the waterclosets. The hardware worked great, the bedding comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was great. The staff go beyond their duties to accommodate your needs. Take out food is delivered to your room by a robot with a sweet little voice. Breakfast is served from 7 to 10, with a full complement of western buffet, fruits, and hot Chinese steamer items, such as dumplings, corn and potatoes, etc. A noodle stand cooks your order while you wait, a stand with 4 different congies and condiments puts a delightful touch to the breakfast spread. No whole grain bread though, only white bread, pastires and cakes, etc. The only weak spots was the coffee, you get the Italian, which is like Espresso, and the American, which is simple the Italian with hot water. The Heyitang is located on a quite one-way street near the #2 Line subway station. A taxi ride to the Hongqiao Highspeed Train Station costs about 40 rmb. The Front Desk staff calls the taxi for you. Hailing in the street is difficult. Clientele: young professionals & eastern Europeans, with the occasional family with young kids. Will stay there again.

Amenties could be better, but rooms and staff are amazing

It's in the most convenient location, with many dinning and shopping options. Food is excellent at the club lounge, great breakfast buffet spread in the lobby and delicious snacks at the Jazz Bar. Excellent and knowledgeable, English speaking service staff all around. Special shout to Max and Melody at the club lounge for making our stay at Fairmont Peace Hotel an exceptional one!

Breakfast was good and can be better organized. My son saw a mouse jump over his foot running into the kitchen on the last day which is concerning. Rooms are well equipped but tight. Staff was cooperative but failed to deliver the laundry to room stating left a message to pickup from front desk, which was not convenient. Location was perfect, center of Nanjing rd easy to get in and out, minutes from metro station. Has an excellent spa on 4th floor.

Very spacious and elegant rooms with a fantastic oversized bathtub, with amazing view of Pudong. Delicious breakfast.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful, especially Derek. As foreigners and we use eSIM without a physical phone number, it’s not an easy thing to reserve Disney park tickets. Derek has gone beyond and above to assist us, we feel sorry to take him so much time but his service is just great!

The staff was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed being right on the main shopping street to wander around and explore.
