Property was fine. Was quiet considering the plane traffic

After being disappointed with another hotel we moved to the Opus. The staff were fantastic, especially Kaveh. When we shared that we had a poor experience elsewhere he offered to show us a room so we could see the layout, cleanliness, and overall condition of the room. While we worked on trying to cancel our existing reservation, he offered us each a glass of local sparkling rose (surprisingly good btw) to help us relax and feel more welcome in Vancouver. Kaveh continued to check in w us and welcome us back every time we entered the lobby. The other staff were also very friendly and engaging. I’m recommending The Opus to any friend who travel to Vancouver and will stay there my next trip to Vancouver.

Have no complaints everything and everyone was excellent!

My first time staying here, I would definitely stay again . Really appreciated the car pick up drop off. Roger was great. Front desk staff were awesome. I loved the room, bed was super comfortable. The room was spotless . Enjoyed watching the lanes whizz by .

One unusual thing about the Douglas is the lobby/check-in is located on the 6th floor. Ground level is essentially empty, no doorman, or staff just elevators. As Marriot Bonvoy members they gave us their penthouse suite for an additional amount. So penthouse 1677 turned out to be a huge bi-level two bedroom suite with a pool table, bar, kitchen, and wrapped around 3-sides of the entire building. Dozens of floor to ceiling 15-foot high windows had electric curtains that opened at the touch of a button. Views of the city, the FIFA arena and the mountains. A fantastic place to stay for 3-days.
