South Auckland Fishing Holidays

The room was initially extremely dusty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly for a long time. It was also quite dark and poorly maintained. Even the coffee machine and other complimentary facilities were dirty and unhygienic, so we didn’t feel comfortable using the complimentary coffee or other amenities. We had to clean the room ourselves before we could use it. However, when we raised these concerns with the manager, he was very attentive and took steps to address the issues. He also made sure we were comfortable for the remainder of our stay. We appreciate his understanding, responsiveness and efforts to improve our experience.

Beautiful room, lovely staff and delicious meal at the restaurant. Will definitely be back.

Woodhouse Mountain Lodge was an ideal escape for us. Situated on a mountainside that feels remote despite being minutes from a highway, this lodge offers villas that feel secluded and "away from it all," along with ocean views. The villas are luxuriously appointed with comfortable beds, large bathrooms, gas fireplaces and beautiful artwork. We enjoyed walking the grounds, sweating in the sauna, and eating delicious meals at the lodge. The staff were super friendly. If you're looking for a private escape just an hour from Auckland, this is your place. Don't miss the opportunity to hit up Omaha beach during your stay -- a real gem with miles of walking and rugged sea.

Friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful clean and tidy room. gorgeous country views, fully enjoyed the "special attention" from our hosts. The meals and service were amazing. Chef "Stewart" cooked beyond perfection! The spa pool was very nice and relaxing. We enjoyed the 5 km trail walk around the property. A very calm, relaxing and safe feeling at this lodge. A highly recommend quiet retreat! Thank you for making our stay so memorable.

Reasonable airport hotel. Serves all the regular needs as such.

The roof bar was closed on Sunday. Guests were very noisy coming in from pubs late at night & woke us up

Traditional hotel room with all the normal facilities. Good location and parking nearby. The restaurant and coffee lounge were good and reasonably priced.
