Municipality of Appingedam Fishing Holidays

My red flag is that they should have breakfast included with the price and not as an extra. But also there were fruit flies flying around the bread but whatever there are starving children that would be grateful otherwise. I’m a simple customer and I make the best out all my experiences. The neighborhood around is beautiful. It’s convenient that the location is midpoint between Amsterdam and Zandvoort beach. The shower was good and I slept like a newborn. Staff were sweethearts though. My only thing is that for a family of four with two kids, expect to pay 45 euro extra, that’s two buffets and two continental breakfasts. Also don’t use the toilet downstairs if you have to go number 2, it’s clogged. I would stay again if the price is right and breakfast is actually included and not extra.

The rooms and property were clean and the staff were helpful. The rooms were hot (we were also there during a record heat wave), but for a 5 star hotel at the price point of this one I didn’t expect to be uncomfortable in my room irrespective of the outside conditions.

Wow! This property is truly a gem. From the moment you walk onto the property you quickly realize that the pristine attention to detail, the committment to top notch guest service and the transformation of this historic building have landed you in a little oasis in the coolest city. The location was perfection, walking/biking distance to everything you could need. The staff were very attentive, the breakfast in the room was beautiful and generous. The room itself was so special, we would love to go back and experience all of the other guest rooms! We would highly recommend to everyone and cannot wait to be back on our next trip through the city.

Location. Location. Location. My family of 4 stayed in the top floor apartment and it was perfect for us! We did suffer from pretty bad jet legs but it was a perfect place to have it as I could just sit and stare out the windows or grab some food and drinks downstairs while my family slept or vice versa. And we’re definitely away from tourists areas and we just got to relax and see locals get some sun and swim in the river. A short walk to the tram was good and we enjoyed the restaurants in the town area. The whole area seems very new and there were some canals being built out and the building and amenities were very new and nice. Only challenge was there might’ve been some cultural differences in how we joked with each other but staff members were friendly and helpful. And my in-room massage was very reasonable and very helpful in letting my body get over the jet lag. Overall, it was a wonderful stay! Oh! The July! Water those poor plants in the room!
