S'Albufera des Grau Natural Park Fishing Holidays

An incredible hotel. Very clean and staff were lovely. Great location and amenities

The hotel is nicely situated close to the town which has a lovely beach, a couple of shops and a handful of restaurants which served great food. We stayed in the hotel on a B&B basis. The quality of the food was good, only issue was the number of staff cooking at the station - the chef was trying to cook at three stations so offer had to wait. The replenishing of food also needs to improve as agin often had to ask for things. Requires more waiting staff in the restaurant as service was slow at times - however all the staff worked incredibly hard. The room was spacious. We had an issue with the first room and asked to be moved. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard. Given this was the prestige section of the hotel, I would have expected an adults only area. This was not the case - I would recommend the hotel look into this as several people have stated similar on their reviews.

Perfect tranquil location, excellent customer service

Meliá Cala Galdana offers an expensive stay that doesn't quite justify the cost. If you love a massive, high-energy "cruise ship on land" vibe like Club Med, you’ll appreciate it. The activities for kids and adults are exceptionally well thought out, the outdoor gym is a nice touch, the junior suite is lovely, and the breakfast is excellent. That's where It stops. The operational flaws are hard to ignore compared to nearby boutique hotels: Rooms: The standard Family Room was unacceptably small; with an extra bed, you couldn't even open a suitcase. We had to pay to upgrade to a Junior Suite. While the suite was great, the plumbing was incredibly loud—every upstairs flush sounded like a rainstorm on our ceiling. Also, the shower temperature takes forever to adjust. Elevators: Painfully slow and packed. We routinely waited 5+ minutes on the 4th floor just to find one with space. Dining: All restaurants were fully booked for dinner our entire stay. The hotel saves zero tables for overnight guests, which is a major oversight. Pool & Beach: Inexplicably for a family resort, the pool closes at 7 PM while the sun is still out. Beach access is down a very steep ramp; by evening, the metal handrail has baked in the sun, making it too hot to hold during the tough climb back up. Verdict: A resort with momentary glimpses of excellence amidst ongoing disappointments. Excellent entertainment, but too many basic functional flaws for the price.

The staff are helpful. We didn’t like the pool area as the beds are very uncomfortable and you are siting so close to each other. The breakfast was very good with an excellent choice.

Rooms were very clean , but now need updating to a walk in shower. Breakfast was chaos! The 2 coffee machines constantly broke down during breakfast hours. Coffee was served to your table with milk but if you wanted tea you had to fill your teapot at the coffee machine which took ages , queues forming and then had to ask for cold milk from staff ! Hot items such as eggs and bacon were ordered from the staff and bought to your table but then if you required tomato/ mushrooms or sausage you then had to go to the buffet table to serve yourself. Cold item choices were very limited and always the same over our fortnight. Orange juice dispenser lid did not fit and the tap on it didn’t work properly , never changed even though management knew. Tomato juice was taken off after 3 days, replaced with a watery raspberry product. The toaster had the cutting board for bread right in front of it so you had to queue or go when no one was at the toaster. One evening the bar was being staffed by a lady that was also serving in the restaurant so you waited until she was free. Staff are not trained very well and it is a real shame . This used to be a superb hotel but now is a shadow of its former self. Nowhere near 5* it says it is and yes I did complain whilst there. We will not be returning again until they sort the problems out.
