Giessenlanden Cheap Holidays

Limited amenities, but great rooms and a great location. Five minute walk to two tram lines.

The entire experience at The Toren was exceptional. The hotel was cozy, comfortable and located in a great area close to restaurants, museums, shopping and the central train station. Breakfast food selections tasty and filling. All interactions with the hotel team members were pleasant and helpful.

This was a very nice hotel that had a wonderful collection of books and fine art hanging on every wall throughout the facility. The staff was very helpful, especially in getting our heavy luggage to our room. The room we had was small but very ornate. The only complaint was that was warm outside during our stay and they did not have air conditioning. They told us to open the windows for cooling and there was a Dyson fan in the room. I was very surprised that such an expensive hotel did not have A/C. Location of hotel was very good and the restaurant was very good.

Seamless check-in process, flexible check-in time and ability to store luggage on site, use of the amenities at the sister hotel, clean and well maintained rooms, quiet for a central location in the city

We were in a room for 3 and were so pleased with the layout! Took me a bit to realize how to brighten the room. Lights were dimmed but once KI brightened them we were good to go. Staff were super helpful and pleasant. Locations was central to everything we wanted to do!

Excellence Redefined Our short stay (three days) at the Tivoli Doelen ticked all the boxes. The location was excellent: central and easy to reach from Amsterdam Central Station, just one stop on the Metro. All the major tourist attractions are within easy walking distance, including the museums and the Rembrandt House Museum, with scenic canal-side paths throughout the city. Cleanliness was exceptional, and the rooms were prepared and maintained to the highest standard. The rooms had clearly been refurbished and were beautifully and tastefully decorated. There was even a British three-pin plug socket in our room! The attention to detail was second to none. As previous reviews have mentioned, if your budget allows, I would recommend upgrading to a room overlooking the canal. It is well worth the extra cost. Breakfast was exceptional, with a superb selection of high-quality food, all prepared to an excellent standard. If possible, try to arrive early to secure a window seat, although all the tables offer a pleasant atmosphere, with the canals taking centre stage. If fine dining is your thing, I strongly recommend treating yourself to dinner in the restaurant one evening. The food is of the highest standard. Balance this with eating out around Amsterdam, where there is a huge variety of restaurants to choose from. Finally, what really makes the Tivoli stand out is its staff. From the front desk team and restaurant staff to the duty manager, everyone was outstanding.
