We stayed at Furaveri in an Ocean Pool Villa (160 sqm over the water with private swimming pool). We are a family of 4 with 2 children (7 and 14), it is not our first trip to Maldives. This time, it was a 8 days stay in October 2025. The property is very nice, there are 5 restaurants including the main buffet. We had a premium all inclusive plan. The food was good in all the restaurants we tried. We found out that not all restaurants are part of the all inclusive package, the seafood restaurant is not part of the plan and the prices are on the upper scale, probably 100$ pp for a 3 dish order. The amenities include a spa, nice but not exceptional, and there too, the all inclusive package gives only limited benefit (30$ discount on a few treatments), average massages were 150$ for the cheapest ones... Access to the shower/steam bath/sauna is also for a fee (about 60$…). The gym is under-equipped and not well designed, but still has the minimum equipment, it gets too crowded with 3-4 guests working out at the same time… Although most of the food is good, the buffet is mostly similar every day. Children do not have free access to the regular menu in 4 out of 5 restaurants, they only get the kids menu, with chicken nuggets, pasta etc, very standard dishes, not suitable, and not copious enough for a teenager. If they want regular food in another restaurant than the main buffet, it is the “à la carte menu” with “regular” (expensive) prices, even if you have the all inclusive package

We travelled for my partners birthday and the staff were excellent at making it special for her. Special shoutout to Nawal in reservations and Jojo in watersports/recreation, both really made an effort to make it special for my partner! The food was very good, wherever you go. Would recommend Hamakaze!

Mariyam was a fantastic hostess who assisted with all my needs and questions. I had a beach side room which backed on to an incredible and secluded beach. The room could use an update but was fine and clean. I spent 2 nights in a pool villa and that was a great room.

We really enjoyed our stay - the service and attention to guests is some of the best we have experienced. We loved the bikes, watersports centre and the spa. The planting and little details in the plant areas on the island are really lovely. We liked our overwater villa size, layout and sunset view (although the new Mandarin Oriental being built nearby slightly detracts). The decor does need an update soon though (eg. Loungers are clunky to adjust, tiles in the pool are a little jagged and the bath is unusable). We liked all the restaurants (especially saffron and soyi), our experience of Origin was less good due to a large table with loud adults and kids and the fish menu wasn’t as good as I was expecting. Champagne generously flowed and was a nice one. We thought the red wine list would benefit from an extra option with a bit more oomph (eg a. Malbec). However overall a really enjoyable holiday.
