The spa is amazing and the location is great! The rooms need a bit of updating, at least the one I stayed in.

In an attempt to make the hotel more popular, it seems the owners re-designed the exterior, the attached shops (Zephyr Walk) and the lobby to make it cool and modern, without maintaining the rooms at all. There is a surprise resort fee, which apparently can range from $30 a night to $45 a night - to cover “amenities”. I’ve stayed at, at least a half dozen other hotels that don’t charge $35 a night per room to light a couple fire pits. Just work it into the room price and stop surprising people. As soon as we checked in, we grabbed our bags and headed to our room, only to immediately get kicked out by housekeeping. They were in our room and just kept saying “just a minute” while we stood in the hallway with our luggage. Considering the hotel also does not allow you to use the bathroom in the lobby until you check in, and we had just driven for 3 hours, we were very uncomfortable. There were strange outlets cut into the side of the nightstand that didn’t seem safe.

We were slightly disappointed with our stay here. Although we booked a nonsmoking room, there were several times when we could strongly smell smoke, which made things uncomfortable for us. The room also did not appear to be fully cleaned as several snacks and fridge items had not been restocked, there were fingerprints on the windows, and there was an unusual pink liquid running down the shower wall. We also found hair in our room service, which was very offputting. That said, the view of the fountains were spectacular. Overall, I don’t think we would choose to stay here again.
