8.8/10 Excellent! (2,884 reviews)
Hated the elevators! This was probably my biggest gripe about the hotel. I get what they were trying to do with the fancy iPad style floor selector, but it was such a pain in the ass especially the first time. I also realized I wasn’t the only one who didn’t like them, every time I rode the elevator everyone inside would complain about how terrible they were. After selecting a floor and you were assigned a elevator sometimes you would have to wait a really long time just for it to pick you up and they were also very hot inside. Besides that the room and the views were spectacular me and my girlfriend had a great time at this property cool rooftop bars and pool right in the center of nyc. Would definitely stay again

9.2/10 Wonderful! (1,015 reviews)
Great location near West Village/SoHo with excellent views, but overall The Dominick doesn’t live up to its advertised five-star status or price point.
I stayed in a suite at The Dominick hoping for a true five-star experience but was disappointed in several areas. While there are positives, too many issues suggest it falls short of what should be expected at this level.
Rooms lack basic amenities such as make-up removal wipes and cotton balls. The hotel’s restaurant closure wasn’t mentioned in advance, and there were no complimentary minibar items or late-night room service. In addition, guests must pay extra for a reliable Wi-Fi connection. The blackout curtains, which should provide a dark environment, let in too much light, making it difficult to sleep in. Furnishings feel slightly dated and worn, and elevators were consistently slow and overcrowded. Although the staff were pleasant, poor traffic management at the entrance added to the frustration.
For the nightly cost, you’re likely better off choosing a property that consistently delivers a five-star experience, such as the Four Seasons, at a similar price point.
