We had a very pleasant and joyful vacation at GR Solaris. The ocean view was great, and the beach access was excellent. The staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made the stay even better. The only issue was some noise in the hallways, since there’s no carpet in the corridors or rooms, even normal conversations could carry. Other than that, we had a very positive experience overall.

We loved Caribe. The pool & beach were fantastic. Lots of towels and very pleasant service all day long. Breakfast in the morning was a highlight. Luz the hostess was a bright refreshing encounter every day. Her teammates Adrain Alfredo Jesus and Ricardo all at cafe Solaris kept the coffee flowing in style. Lu the manager was always present . Interacting with all the guests and ever ready to volunteer any iinformation one may need . I particularly appreciated that Lu recommended and made reservations for dinner almost . We took her advice and enjoyed each place that she recommended. Honestly I would have no hesitation to recommend caribe. Rooms were very clean prompt housekeeping lots of towels and bottled water. I can’t wait to go back.

I'm really surprised at some of the negative reviews. We had a nearly perfect visit. If I had to be nit picky, I would say there were times when our neighbors were loud and abnoxious late at night and yes the noise seemed to really carry. The shower temp would randomly change.. would be too cool then too warm.. hard to get the temp just right and keep it that way. All our interactions with the staff were really great. Food was not a problem and we were even able to make reservations at the a la carte restaurants pretty easily. Aside from the hotdogs and hamburgers at the beach bar, the food was really good! This was my first all-inclusive experience and I was pleased. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

I had an ocean. Everything was great with the exception of some of the food

We bought the “All Inclusive” which turned out not to be unless you upgraded to the highest level, which was a significant increase in cost. Our All-Inclusive gave you access to about a third of the bars and restaurants, which we should have been made aware of upfront. The staff was great, very helpful, and friendly. The Emergency 24-hour medical folks never answered their door when we rang the bell and knocked. Had a significant laceration and couldn’t get it taken care of. The food was so-so and one of us got food poisoning from an outdoor grill location. One of two very small elevators didn’t work in our building and we were on the 6th floor, to say we got our steps in is an understatement. We won’t be back.

We enjoyed our stay here. It started off a bit rough with the first day being put in a room where there was construction over top. We quickly went and talked to the front desk and they were unable to move us until the next day. We spent the day by the pool and checked back to the lobby a few times to see when we could move into our new room so we could settle in we were only there for six days. They were able to finally move us in a room at 6 PM. Upon arrival, there was a strong scent of chemical that was overpowering. We unpacked and went for supper and notified the front desk. The maintenance came up and agreed that the room had a strong scent of chemical, and we needed to move once again. Went to the front desk got her new keys and moved to our new room at 10 PM on our second day. from there the vacation started to improve. We are VIP members of Expedia and we’re supposed to get a bottle of wine but this Hotel didn’t know anything about it and we did not receive that. The staff in all of the restaurants and all other areas were amazing. Our housekeeping crew kept our room clean and stopped at all times. The property itself is fairly clean although when it’s at 100% capacity, there are a few chairs short. We had to get up at 7 AM to save a good chair by the pool. The food was delicious although I felt was limited as we did not see a buffet for supper. The à la carte restaurants were available at no reservations so often had to wait but the food was always good.

It was a phenomenal trip

Staff is exceptional. Favorite restaurants, or the Asian and Olio. Alejandro at Olio was exceptional. We ate breakfast there every morning, but want. Ate breakfast at the buffet one time, but the food was lukewarm. The rooms are very clean excellent house cleaning service. Excellent room service for a coffee and pastries and mimosas in the morning. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is it seems like the preferred area pool area is over sold. The chairs are just right next to each other just lined up. The beach is very small. Just a few cabanas. You literally have to get out there at 7:30 and sit in the chair to save a seat on the beach or at the pool area. Other than that and being very crowded in a small resort, it was a nice stay.
