Average hotel for the price. House keeping didn't leave clean towels when we wanted them changed.

We booked a Casita room for a 3 day weekend for our last trip before we have our first baby. I didn’t put any notes or anything on what we were there for, but when we checked in we were informed we had been upgraded to an oceanfront suite. We were blown away by this room. It was massive and had multiple balconies to sit on and enjoy the views. We ended up spending most of our time in the room because it was just the best. We did go to the adult pool and another quiet pool that were both very nice. Megan at the vista pool was great! We had breakfast at the Catalina kitchen a few times which was great. The room service was great. I do wish I had done a little more research and made reservations for the other restaurants on site as they were booked. Overall it was an amazing place and we were so thankful they upgraded us, we didn’t want to leave!

Balcony views, gave champagne and upgrade for my anniversary. We celebrated 16 years ago here for my wedding reception. Place looks even more modern

The valet is aggressive, expensive and the only option. Otherwise everything else was great.

Gorgeous, stunning, staff was absolutely fantastic, probably one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed in!

Beautiful room. Loved the decor and view. Rooftop bar and restaurant was a perfect way to end the evening.

The Proper is such an eclectic hotel. We were greeted by Manny at the front desk upon our arrival. Anything that we needed, the staff made accessible. We also loved Cara Cara Rooftop restaurant!

Loud loud loud loud. Cars and motorcycles screeching all night. Soundproof windows would be nice instead of earplugs on the nightsrand

The bed was like sleeping on concrete. The front desk staff were not the friendliest. After checking in we returned to the front desk to ask for items and no one answered the doorbell.

Parking lot wasn’t safe

Good clean room and helpful staff. Complimentary breakfast is provided. They charge $10 for parking, however there’s plenty of street parking available.
