North Shore Kauai Adults Only Holidays

It was our first time to the Island. We were intrigued by the price. Significantly less than other resorts. It’s centrally located allowing easy access to the north or south parts of the island. The front desk staff were amazing and very helpful. What we didn’t know was it’s on the rainy side of the island and it’s an older resort, however well maintained. Pools were excellent. Food and drinks at the pool were excellent. They only allow one pool towel per person. That’s stupid. You get what you pay for. If money is a factor, this is an excellent option.

We had a ground level room the was very convenient for walking to the pool and the general area. Was very surprised and pleased to have a washer and dryer in the room because this was the last place we were staying on the trip and was nice to have a refresh! The pool was like a water park, I have never seen anything like that at a resort!

We stayed 7 nights at The Royal Sonesta in the one bedroom ocean view suite. It was incredible! The room was huge and had such great views of the beach. The desk staff was friendly and the service staff kept the rooms very clean. I highly recommend the Royal Sonesta!

Grounds were meticulously maintained. The buildings and our room were well kept but it’s an older property so things are showing their age here and there. Pools were great but here is an insider tip. The pool by the beach is busy with a lot of kids and the bar is there. If you want to chill the pool over by the building with reception desk is much quieter with hardly any kids We had an ocean view room and it was spectacular. Lava was typical bar. It could use some updates. Rumfire onsite restaurant was fire. Great dinner there butterfish and lamb chop combo.
