South Pacific Adults Only Holidays

If you are looking for something different to a standard hotel/resort and adults only, then this is the place for you. The rooms were clean and simple beach huts without wifi or tv - we were on the beach so the view was amazing. Wifi is available in the resort public areas so you could still get your internet/phone fix when needed. The facilities were also simple but well managed and even with only 1 restaurant the food was amazing and quite varied with specials available every day. Happy Hour with buy 1 get 1 free cocktails was another drawcard and the perfect way to get to know your fellow patrons. All in all we loved the quiet simplicity of this resort and will definitly be back.

The staff to a person went over and above to ensure everything was good for you personally. The staff to guest ratio was high so everything you required was ready quite quickly. After just one introduction the staff remembered us by name and they always had a smile for you.The site was not overcrowded with plenty of opportunity to mingle if you wanted or be on your own. For us the adults only was a real plus however the age mix was good cross section of younger to not so young. Being on its own island made it feel very safe. Not that we felt unsafe anywhere across Aitutaki. The food was a good variety, well prepared and good value, breakfast catered to all tastes and was plentiful. Overall a very relaxed setting that met all our expectations. If anything could be better would be keeping the Indian minor birds away from the food areas Will find a way to spend more time at this resort.

The resort is very attractive , lovely buildings and landscaping . The interiors were attractive and comfortable loved the massive super king bed and plenty of various pillows so was easy to find one to our liking. Our beachfront suite was first floor with lovely views over the lagoon and reef but felt a little dated in some repects and certainly a little tired . Time for a little refurbishment maybe . However overall was a lovely resort to be in for our first visit to Rarotonga . We loved our adults only part but enjoyed the main part of the Rarotongan too . Lovely family friendly and casual easy place to stay . Good value for money too . The food is mostly well cooked very flavoursome pacific fusion and generous portions . The bar and pool area very inviting .

The pros: staff were kind and friendly, and the rooms are nice and spacious. The cons: the room we were in got barely any sun, so the pool was always too cold to use. The insect screens were broken so we were constantly battling mosquitos in our room. The listing states two restaurants when there is only one, it says they have bikes which they don’t, they don’t actually have a shuttle, they just arrange one for you but a few days notice minimum is apparently required. They advertise snorkelling gear, but one we picked up was filled with black mould, and the flippers were torn and unable to be used. And the breakfast buffet… easily the worst I’ve ever had. To put it simply, the price does not match the quality you will receive. The price should be halved, then the experience you get would be reasonable

We had an excellent time at Tropica! We stayed in a Beach Bure and it was absolutely wonderful. Right on the beach and separated by jungle from the other Beach Bures, it felt like we had our own slice of heaven. The outdoor shower was a nice touch. The food at Tropica was excellent. Breakfast was included and absolutely wonderful. Ask for the blended iced coffee! So yummy. We also enjoyed trying their amazing list of cocktails. Dinner was really special. One night my husband got a 1.2 kg lobster that he states is the best lobster he has ever had! It was beautifully presented. One of the team also plays the guitar and sings some nights and it’s very special. The property has just been going through some recent upgrades and while they have a few more things to do, they have already done a lot which we benefited from. There is a bit of construction but it didn’t have an impact on our experience. By far the staff are what make this a truly special place. They very quickly learned our names and what we liked. They go well out of their way to make sure you are happy and taken care of. By the end they felt like family. This was our first experience with Fiji and we would go back in a heart beat! Thank you to Tropica for making our first time to Fiji so special.

The hotel is just very tired and noticeably old compared to the other few resorts in the area. Nice but we wouldn’t go back to that one.

Last year, I booked to go back before I left the Island. This place is truly wonderful. The staff are friendly, the food is delicious, the pool is beautiful, the beach is lovely. Snorkelling was great off the beach, the Hobie cat boats were fun, kayaking great. The snorkel to Taverua is a must to see the Turtles. The rooms are a great size and well kept. Linen is nice and fresh white. The couples massage was ahhh-mazing. This was our second visit and I can’t fault it.
