Clean and great restaurant and bar

Lots of noise during the night, reported to reception, didn’t do anything.

Friendly, down to earth and professional reception staff. Room was clean and serviced perfectly everyday. Nice linens and bathroom lotions. Excellent location, don't think could do better. Had a great view over the city, towards the stadium plus the bonus of the beautiful sunrises. Daily happy hour at bar was good. I didn't see anything on restaurant menu that interested me. Would happily return to this hotel. No hesitation in recommending.

Service was good, the man on reception was great , Nice and central. The only thing was that cleaning could have been just a little better.

What a fantastic stay at The George! The room was cozy, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. I especially appreciated the gluten-free options available, which made my stay much easier and more enjoyable. Having access to a laundry room was another great convenience during my travels. The location is perfect for walking, with wonderful paths and beautiful surroundings to explore. The gym is excellent and well-equipped, making it easy to keep up with my routine while away from home. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. A special thank you for the sweet little teddy bear left to take care of guests at night—it was such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch that made me smile. I highly recommend The George and would happily stay here again!

Great location for getting around in the heart of Christchurch.

The property is of good quality, feels relatively new. The location is not ideal, 15-20 min walk to the centre. The building is very poorly insulated (in my opinion) and on warmer days, it feels very hot, especially upstairs. The communication with the staff was good and helpful.
