What a FABULOUS gem of a hotel !!! I almost don’t want to write a good review because I want to keep it all to myself. Incredible staff, super clean, and simply incredible design. A rare example of the hotel being actually better than the pictures. Bravo.

The hotel is clean, the staff are great, breakfast is really good. The rooms are nice but very small and the room with two beds they are very small.

Prices to stay were considerably high especially with breakfasts. We chose to eat elsewhere except at night in the western style restaurant.

The location of the hotel is central with lots of eateries/cafes/coffee shops etc. 2 blocks away from the Sheung Wan mtr makes it extremely convenient. Busy during the day but nights are relatively quiet compared to certain areas that are more vibrant such as Mong Kok or Causeway Bay. It's our first time staying at the Mercer. We would stay here again. The room was clean and fair size with lots of drawers and storage space which we liked. The staff were helpful and polite. They even helped us call for a taxi after we checked out. Overall a good experience.

The elevator very slow. Area is very easy to go around in HK. Subway is few steps away exit HK U B2 from airport or Bus A10 I like the bus much easier with luggage.

There is only security guard at night helping with self check-ins, a little inconvenient, but the staffs are very helpful. Rooms are small but have everything you need. Interesting concept to have a communal kitchen and lounge. Laundry facility is definitely a plus. The only downside is, there is renovation going on 3rd floor while we stay, but the hotel didn’t blocked off the unsightly mess.

The team at reception are helpful. However, I would not recommend this for a business stay. If you are in a connecting room, you can hear the guests next door speaking and using the bathroom. You can also hear traffic through the thin windows. Fine for a short 1-2 day stay. However, this is not a 4 star accomodation. Daily room service is just changing your bathroom bin.
