Vacation apartment "Eichholzblick", at the Waldbad Zwenkau

The "Eichholzblick" vacation rental is located on the 1st floor of our house, which we built in 2000. It is a two-room apartment with a balcony offering a view of the forest. The apartment was completely renovated in 2024 and partially refurnished. Access to the vacation rental is via a staircase. It is therefore completely self-contained and separate.
There is one other vacation rental on the same floor. The vacation rentals are ideal for couples or families (extra beds available in the living rooms) as a starting point for bike rides or hikes around Zwenkau, to the Leipzig Neuseenland, or even to Leipzig. We live on the first floor ourselves and are happy to assist you with any questions.
The apartment has 68 square meters of living space, including 1 living room, 1 bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a balcony. The living room is cozy and furnished with oak furniture, a corner sofa, and a wingback chair, as well as a TV and a radio/CD player. The bathroom is equipped with a tub, shower, and toilet. The kitchen is fully furnished and equipped with all appliances and utensils (stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster). There is an ample supply of dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc. The kitchen includes a dining area for 2 people. In the living room, the corner sofa can be used as a sleeping arrangement for 1–2 additional people if needed (for an extra charge—please arrange this in advance). The apartment is ideally suited for 2 people. For families with a baby or toddler, a crib can be provided upon request.
Our house is located directly across from the Waldbad Zwenkau and thus right next to the “Eichholz” forest. Zwenkauer See is about 1.5 km away and can be reached on foot or by bike.
For drivers, parking spaces are available directly at the lake at “Kap Zwenkau” or at the “Pulvermühle.”
The area surrounding Leipzig has been heavily shaped by lignite mining and open-pit mines. The Peres open-pit mine is still active, as is the Lippendorf lignite-fired power plant, one of the most modern in Europe. Today, there are numerous lakes in this region, hence the name “Leipziger Neuseenland.” The city of Leipzig is approximately 20 km away.
