The hotel is located in a quiet area not far away from Oerlikon. Good transport links to the airport and the city centre. The receptionist who checked us in was very friendly and made a very good first impression. However, we had to swap rooms straight away due to the toilet flush being broken. The second room was okay. There was no safe in the room which is a bit of a shame and same goes for the kettle. The breakfast was not good: dry bakery, very limited selection, eggs and bacon were terrible, same limited choices for the three days we stayed there. Breakfast items were not replenished fast enough with some trays sitting empty for long periods of time. This seems poor considering it’s an Ibis.

It was really hard to get to the entrance of the property. The staff were nice but the quality of the room was not up to standard and I had to checkout within 30 minutes of checking in.

This hotel is a convenient option with a airport shuttle. The shuttle does cost 5 CHF to go to the airport but is very convenient and reliable. The night I was at this hotel there was live music in the lounge. For a airport hotel it was fun.

After our river cruise, this was an affordable and relatively convenient option with an airport shuttle. The staff responded quickly to my questions on directions to this property from the Zurich train station in advance of my stay. We were able to enjoy Zurich with a day bus pass from the hotel.

Clean and cheap, so could certainly be worse. Bed was not terribly comfortable and altogether it was sparse. They have conditioning shampoo in the shower in a pump bottle and soap near the sink, so you have to step out of the shower to get soap ... far from public transport and I would not walk the area at night to get to transport so I had to use Uber to return when it was late. Was it worth the sFr.75 (total for 2 nights) I saved over staying in a 4* property? Probably not. Next time I will opt for the upgrade

Overall Good Hotel . Clean and comfirtable beds
Location was okay not brilliant.. slightly away from city. Rooms were good but bit small. No tea and cofee facility in the room. Air cindition was very poor.

Ibis hotels are always convenient and comfortable and the Ibis Zurich Messe hotel confirmed this one more time. Only inconvenience came from the construction work in the area around the hotel, in particular in finding my way to the hotel.

We couldn't make our booking because all flights were canceled from London, I explained this to the hotel, even though the circumstances were out of our control we were not offered any sort of refund or a chance to use our booking for later dates. We were very disheartened by the whole experience.
