"The place was sufficient for our needs and a good price. They helpfully made sure we were in a ground floor room as my wife is pregnant. The room itself was clean and good value for money. Slightly disappointed that there were only two coffee pods provided for two of us for four days, and the shower gel and shampoo were completely empty. These few small things could be improved and very little cost and make a big difference"

"Hotel is not a hotel but a room for the night. You get a token to present to one of two cafe for a coffee and pastry in the morning which is the free breakfast. The reception is always closed, even at the announced opening times which is inconvenient. It’s rather basic. However it in a great location with everything you need close by but you are basically fending for yourself. I wouldn’t let it put you off if you are confident in staying in a room in a building that has no other facilities....

"After a travel mishap we were lucky to stumble upon Duomo Guest House on Expedia. It was not only perfectly priced for an unexpected extra night of vacation, but also in a prime location! "This is a lovely hotel in perfect position in Trani, overlooking the harbour and right next to the cathedral and ideally situated for a short stay whilst exploring the town and harbour whilst enjoying the numerous nice bars and restaurants. A couple of things to be aware of are that if you have a car, finding the hotel and parking is not easy as the streets around are only for town residents so I do think this could be explained in any literature the hotel offers to its visitors. However once you know. You can park on the small road on the approach to the harbour pier and this is free of charge so long as you give the hotel receptionist the car registration plate. The receptionist did explain this but only after we found out the hard way. Also the hotel WiFi kept constantly disconnecting but fortunately I have European roaming paid on my phone and also the room air con was poor, the fan blew the air around ok but I suspect the unit needs a refrigerant recharge as it wasn’t effective. So these picky bits aside our room was extremely nice and quite spacious and had a balcony overlooking the harbour which we loved. Staff were courteous but otherwise didn’t offer much. We did enjoy our stay here and thought the town of Trani is lovely with the quayside and small narrow streets behind. Well worth the visit."

"We arrived late in day and first impressions were underwhelming and very secluded. It is the off season (May) and didn't see any other guests. It is a very expansive (large) estate and has huge potential. Breakfast was very good and we hung by the pool for several hours the next day and came to appreciate the privacy. The bed was comfortable. Be aware of loud pair of peacocks roaming the property. Noise plugs didn't help much. Lol"
