I booked this property online from Canada for 4 days thinking I would look around for a place to stay for a month when I arrived. I quickly noticed how nice the resort and staff were but after my 4 days I had to relocate as the property was full. The manager Gerardo was fantastic and he put in time on his own accord to find me a suitable property to relocate to. I highly recommend this property, it has everything you need and you get the best value here. It’s just simply a lovely resort and is so close to the beach. Don’t do as I did, only booking for 4 days, book your whole vacation at the Caracol!!

Staff very nice, room big with balcony, fridge but it is old - the whole place needs a facelift but ok. Our biggest issue NO hot water & we were there for 2 wks - when we enquired we were pretty much given the brush off, also they had had some issue with electrical or water or something so for days were drilling thru concrete & we had to listen to that for hours on end.

5 stars for beach proximity, location to excellent restaurants, vista views, room cleanliness, lovely pool and balcony bar. 1 star for condition of the room/bathroom, bedding, dingy towels, large space beneathe door showing daylight and odd service at front desk & at breakfast. The older front desk man was not friendly, never inquired about our experience while checking out, no smile, only wanted to radio maid & make sure we left room in satisfactory condition.

The hotel grounds and the pool area are indeed very nice, but my room was terrible. No blow dryer, no shampoo or shower gel, only a bar of soap. Walls cracked, very basic furniture - more of a cell than a room. Hot water took 10 minutes (!) to arrive every day - what a waste of water! But the worst was the bed - it was the most uncomfortable, hard, bed I have ever had the misfortune to sleep on. My. right shoulder completely seized up after just 1 night, so I had to actually had to cut my trip short and come home early as I did not want to be in pain for the whole week. NOT recommended!!

The hotel is well located close Madeira beach access. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very basic, but who spends much time in your hotel room when you are in Zihua.
