"Okay walking distance from the train station, but check-in was terrible. I didn’t receive any details until standing outside on a rainy day trying to figure out how to call a local phone number, which was eventually answered by someone who only speaks Chinese. After an awkward minute on the phone they hung up, but a few minutes later I finally got instructions on how to get inside.
The staircase inside is very tight and carrying suitcases up is quite difficult. Once inside, the room is clean...

"I have stayed at a lot of hostels over the years and I have to say that this is one of the best. The setup is great and the fact that breakfast is included makes it an even better value. Can’t speak highly enough about the NK hostel. Great place to stay in Taiwan. "

"Super clean, excellent breakfast, and the staffs are very courteous and helpful. Bonus: just a stone throw away from a Costco store! The down side is, the nearest subway station is about 20min walk, or a short taxi ride away. "
"Front desk staffs were courteous and very helpful. Room is a bit on a smaller side. The hotel is situated very close to the Keelung night market and the cruise port: 5-10 minutes walk. I recommend this hotel to anyone spending a night before or after cruise."
"Yangmingshan Tien Lai was state-of-the-art at some point and retains some of that air of superior quality, however the facilities are not as special as perhaps in the past."
