"I liked this property for its spacious room and reasonable rate. However, I found it difficult to find a nearby restaurant that felt inviting enough to dine in, or a convenience store within easy reach.

"Wow, simply wow, what an amazing value for the money!
This was a very pleasant stay. Clean room, great location, between TPE airport and Taipei itself, wonderful staff, working Wi-Fi, amazing food, everything as advertised."
"This was a great place to stay! Nice room, the staff were really kind, and the hotel was located in a convenient location. I loved the free snacks :) "

Solaria Nishitetsu Hotel Taipei Ximen
10/10 Excellent
"Amazing location, easy access to ximending and ximen station (300m). The only downfall is the lack of facilities in the building e.g. pool, sauna, limited seating for tea and coffee in lobby area. The hotel is very clean and staff is very hospitable and welcoming. Reception was at 6th floor, no concierge or bell boy to help with luggage. Stayed 2 weeks in this hotel and felt very comfortable. Some reviews said it was noisy but we didnt feel that at all. The hotel it self is quite new and the location and access was the reason we chose this hotel. A little bit more pricier than other 4 star hotels we've stayed at overall, we defintely liked our stay but I wouldnt say we LOVED it.
Pros:
Self service laundry, luggage storage, tea and coffee station, location and the housecleaning.
Cons
limited facilities: no pool, sauna, small gym, no shampoo/conditioner, no toothbrushes. money exchange was challenging as the hotel only accepted certain currencies e.g. USD, EUR, YEN. Any other currencies you need to go to Bank of Taiwan or Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Shopping Mall. No staff assistance with luggage on check in, no concierge, breakfast was not fantastic for the price we paid, reception is on level 6 not on ground floor.

"Super friendly cleaning staff. Worked like ninjas, done before we know it each day. Check-in as usual is at 3:00pm, bummer if you are flying in early into Taipei.
Now check-in is an electronic kiosk, it works, but not sure how I feel without the human interaction.
If there was a gripped about the hotel, it would be the 3 elevators are not enough for the 19 to 20 floors of guests.
Also wish the lobby was a tad bigger and room to sit.
Food options around Cham Cha are plentiful. But given the heat, we opted for Uber Eats and its fast delivery.
Overall, for a hotel close to Banqiao station, it’s a decent hotel and worth staying at.
Thank you for the wonderful experience. We come back to the area often "
"The air condition is very comfortable. The controls are sensible and easy to operate. The breakfast is great with many options to create your own meal. The room is quiet and the shower is good nearest even a safety box in the closet. It has all you need, not fancy, but all satisfactory inconvenient. The prize is more than compatible with others. I will surely come back when I come to that area. Thanks for all the good people running that place! 🌹"
