"We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mercedes BnB. The hosts were very responsive and welcoming, the studio was clean and well stocked, and the bed was very comfortable. "Beautiful location, felt like a local. Room was big with a large comfy bed. Had everything we needed and was cleaned and restocked daily. There was a portable aircon (which i know aircons aren't guarenteed in older buildings) it was super loud and needed the window open to run. Blinds also let in lots of light. Great stay though"

"The location worked for me: a lot of the art and visitor attractions are nearby and within walking distance. It's a short walk to the evening life of De Wallen (the red light district) or to Rembrandt Square and places to eat; a longer walk to the Rembrandt House or the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. Walking in Amsterdam seems to be quicker than driving. My bedroom was (or seemed to be) a quirky, modernized loft: clean, angular, modern in an anodyne and uncharacterful way. The bed was comfortable. Closet/wardrobe storage was somewhat limited. The way in which the light switches, particularly the master switch, was odd. The bathroom was functional. I prefer showers, so for me it was fine that there was no bathtub but there was a good size shower. I was never able to work out the air-conditioning controls. Most of the time the bedroom was too cold. But as the summer temperature was so hot outside it was good to have such effective air-conditioning. Amsterdam prices are high. Relative to US hotel prices, I felt the rate per night was expensive for what the room was, but perhaps European visitors would feel differently."
