Our stay at Paje Beach Apartments was wonderul. We were in a room at the back of the property so had Friday night party music from the village. The rest of the week was not an issue at all and the area in front of the apartments on the beach was wonderful. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly.

Decent place to stay in Zanzibar
We've had a great time in the Paje Beach Apartments & Hotel. It's a nice place to stay for a family or a couple. It is situated in a first line from the ocean, literally one step away from the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff was very friendly and kind, especially Madiba from the bar. Any issue we've had was taken seriously by the management and resolved immediately.

Top notch stay!
What an amazing place! Staff was so very nice. They remembered my name and were on top of any request I had. The location is absolutely perfect. You can not go wrong staying here. I loved their staff shirts at the restaurant so much I bought one for mys elf!

Rooms were simple but had everything you needed. Beach was beautiful and magical. Lounge chairs are nice but people who do not have reservations at the hotel are allowed to use them which takes away from those who have paid to stay there. Staff is attentive. On site restaurant was great, ate lunch and dinner there and food options were yummy. It does take about 45-1hr for food to come out so plan accordingly. Would recommend to stay here if you're coming to Paje.

Pool beds upstairs by the pool and on the sun deck area above the beach bar are for hotel guests use only, however the bar and restaurant is public so patrons of these facilities can use the beach side beds. We are also glad you found the Ocean food yummy and will tell the chef! Hope to see you again soon.

I loved this hotel!
This place is amazing, it’s located by the beach, with the sun-beds facing the ocean, but still a lot of shade for someone who wants to avoid sun. I arrived there early at 11 and they were so kind to let me check in as the room was ready. The staff is really nice there. Breakfast is super good, there is a live station for eggs and pancakes, and also a good selection of fresh fruits, bread, and warm sides like spinach or sweet potatoes. You will get a fresh juice too. Room was very spacious and clean, with convenient European chargers and usb stations. Bathroom was clean and there is also a wardrobe, everything super comfortable. In the evening they prepared my bed with the mosquito net and closed the curtains. It felt really cosy. I wish I could stay longer there.

Over priced accommodation
Amazing location , lovely staff and great food. Accommodation was very expensive for just room only. We could have had 5* for that money. Loud families in the pool were also a drawback if you wanted a rest in the afternoon

Area, people, food, everything was good. We were even upgraded to an apartment when we extended our stay for another 3 days. Downside was the wifi connection. Out of 6 days we probably had internet for 2 days. The days we had internet, it was to slow to even read a news paper online. If they upgrade their wifi and internet, I would give the stay 5/6, and then go again. And it needs to be mentioned that every Wednesday they have a DJ and too loud music until 24:00. It is on your doorstep, so no point going to bed until 24:00 that day.

Meget pænt og hyggeligt sted med venligt personale og lige ned til stranden. Der er ligeledes gode pools og mulighed for at sidde udenfor sit værelse og nyde en drink eller hvad man nu har lyst til. Stedet hjælper ligeledes med at finde kørsel og hjælper med at booke diverse ting. Vandtrykket kunne godt være bedre og det samme med aircondition. Restauranten er heller ikke noget at råbe hurra for, men de har en god morgenmad 🙌. Alt i alt vil jeg gerne kunne anbefale stedet til andre.

Fint opphold og hyggelig personale. Strømmen kom og gikk, men det er muligens tilfelle for hele området. Aircondition ble ikke så kald som vi ønsket og frokostbuffeten var helt ok. Rommet var av god størrelse og samlet sett hadde vi et fint opphold til en relativt billig pris.

Hyvä hotelli rannalla ja huone oli positiivinen kokemus. Aamupala oli tosi suppea, mutta sillä pärjäsi ihan hyvin. Retkien myyjät olivat erittäin rasittavia, heti kun poistuit hotellilta he olivat kimpussa ja välillä tulivat ihan hotellin ravintolan eteen huutelemaan retkistä vaikka olit syömässä/drinkeillä. Muuten hyvä kokemus!

Nette accomodatie en heel erg vriendelijk personeel! Drinkwater in de kamer aanwezig in glazen flessen, en deze waren gratis te hervullen! Kamer werd dagelijks schoon gemaakt, en handdoeken konden vervangen worden door ze op de grond te leggen. In de omgeving van het hotel zijn voldoende watersport verhuur aanwezig. Maar een bijzonder fijne ervaring gehad bij Aquaholics, recht naast het hotel.

Das Zimmer war groß und schön, genauso wie das Badezimmer. Alles sauber und im guten Zustand. Wlan für Zanzibar außergewöhnlich stabil und schnell. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, für lokale Verhältnisse auch viel Auswahl! 24/7 hat man Zugang zum Wasserspender und Kaffe/Tee. Wir haben nur eine Sache zu bemängeln-die Matratze war leider sehr hart!

Très bel hôtel, à côté de la plage avec un restaurant et un bar ouvert assez tardivement. 2 piscines et un accès direct à la mer. Mention spéciale pour le gérant, d’une grande gentillesse qui nous a proposé 2 chambres au mieux d’une car il avait de la place. Nous avons aussi pu laisser nos affaire jusqu’à 18h afin de prendre notre cours de Kite Surf et de nous doucher avant de reprendre la route Le petit déjeuner est aussi très bon

L’emplacement de l’hotel est idéal. A côté du centre de plongée mais aussi en proximité avec les écoles de Kite. Possibilité de dîner sur place mais on trouve aussi à proximité d’autres restaurants. Des propositions variées au niveau du menu et raisonnable en prix. L’ensemble du personnel est sympathique et disponible.

Really good hotel overall. Nice staff and relaxed restaurant and bar next to the hotel. The air conditioning did not work well at all which made us sleep very bad. Except from that I recommend this place if you want to get away from the resorts.

Il n'y a pas de vue sur la mer pour les chambres. Les chambres se trouvent toutes autour de la piscine. L'utilisation de la piscine est prise par le club de plongée mais pas toute la journée. Etablissement propre. Confort de la literie apprécié, lit king size. Grande douche. Le service de l'hotel est à revoir. Nous voulions faire une machine à laver, il fallait payer 3 dollars pour une paire de chaussette. Le prix se fait par le nombre d'article à laver. Le prix de la chambre n'est pas donné, aucun effort est fait sur les extras. On nous dit qu'il y a des prix pour les clients de l'hotel si on veut faire du kitesurf et de la plongée, c'est faux! Aucune réduction pour la plongée et seulement 10% pour la Lesson de kitesurf mais pas pour la location … Nous avons loué des vélos à la journée, le prix était affiché à 5 dollars la journée, la réceptionniste nous a demandé 10 dollars…Nous lui avons donc montré le prix affiché! Pas d'effort de la part de la réceptionniste pour parler en articulant, son enthousiasme n'était pas souvent présente . En revanche, le personnel du restaurant de l'hotel est très souraitn, accueillant, à l'écoute. On y mange très bien. Petit bémol sur le petit déjeuner qui se fait à la carte.

Great stay!
The room was clean and big. The pool was right outside our door and the beach and restaurant just a couple of meters away. The staff both in the restaurant and at the hotel was making sure they did everything they could to make our stay as good as possible. I definitely recommend this place to anyone going to Paje!
