Everything about the hotel was excellent. The staff were so accomodating and the hotel itself was beautiful. Food was great and the views were sublime. Definitely planning to visit again. Recommend for families, couples and anyone looking to relax.

Hotel looks very nice. Its just like the pictures. But the rooms are very humid and smells a little like mold. When we checked out they added costs for over 100$ to the bill that we did not use. Even when we told them it was wrong, they still tried to make us pay for several thing.

I stayed for 1 night as a solo traveler. The staff was excellent. However i'm not sure how this hotel has a 5star status. Very dated, and the upkeep you could tell was lacking. The bathroom tub leaked, from what you could tell was already a 'band aid' fix they already tried. When i looked to see where it was leaking, no one had cleaned behind the tub as there was cobwebs and a spider. The shower stall area was also so rundown, everything old.The water in the pool didnt look very clean, but in spite of that...i was shocked to see no covers where there had clearly been lights (inside the pool). Instead you could actually see the areas were open spaces with the wiring exposed. The whole dining area is open with no windows, which means alot of bugs. The night i went to eat, i ended up asking them to bring the food to my room. There were several large flying bugs i later found out were termites. Just know this isnt anywhere near a 5star hotel.

Hotel itself was absolutely amazing. Beautiful architecture and features on a big scale. Check in was seamless. Our room was big, and looked wonderful. Unfortunately the room had a broken balcony door. We were immediately offered another room, this one was fine but again not perfect and below the standard one would have expected for star hotel. Issues were primarily in the bathroom where certain finishing touches were lacking. The basin was tilted which meant the water did not flow out as it should as base was too high. We made do as we were exhausted from flight and having moved once already and reception manager had implied there were no rooms. Overall we enjoyed our stay, majority of the staff were friendly, helpful. I would certainly recommend the hotel and hope they get the perfect room as our friends did.

It’s not what I expected from a 5 star hotel… I stayed for a week and I ask for a phone directory to call room service or the front desk .. never got it .. my bathroom sink was tilted or misplaced so water was always there.. basic rule of sinks… coffee was terrible .. the stuff is trying but the hotel needs of some major five star consulting…

I love the architecture the design and the décor. The luxury of the rooms. The location wasn't smacked dead in the middle of stone town but it was not far. The staff was wonderful polite and accommodating. The view and the balcony were fabulous. I have to say of any improvements. Would be repairing the chains inside the rooms for door security. Telling your housekeeping to knock and ask if they can enter. What doesn't that all went well.

The hotel building itself is architecturally beautiful, high ceilinged, open and wonderfully decorated. The tilinged floors and spacious, brightly painted walls and ceilings made one feel cool and comfortable, a lovely feature in a warm humid climate. The facilities, such as the gym, restaurant and spa were what one would expect from a five star hotel and were fully up to the quality standards one should expect, I'm happy to say. However, the real high point of our stay at the Mabinat was the staff, all of whom were friendly, courteous, competent and extremely helpful. We would return to this hotel for this one thing alone as they made our stay there all the more memorable and enjoyable.

Very nice place and good pool !
Nice hotel, good pool, lot's of space, next to beach (but not private), huge room and nice employees. Almost perfect except: no door but curtain next to shower and therefore all the water goes all over the bathroom, not all machines in the big gym work, air conditioning is not strong enough to make the room really cool!

A great resort with an amazing view and pool area. The room service staff is amazing! I was in the room a couple of times when they were cleaning and the level of attention was outstanding. They are also very helpful with requests and questions. The only not so positive comment is that you should skip the spa and buffet if possible. They are just “fine”.

Whilst the hotel is relatively new and a nice looking building it has not been maintained well and is already looking tired Service was bad, from check in until departure. Whilst there were a few individuals who were trying hard it was obvious that they haven’t been properly trained. Food options were limited and the quality was terrible - breakfast items left uncovered every day with flies on them etc

Pleasant stay! Can’t wait to go back!
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I found my self in need of a hotel half way through my trip and opted for this one. As a solo traveler, I felt incredibly safe and the hotel was lovely and peaceful. There is access to the sea at the bottom and the hotel and that’s pretty much where I ended up most days on the sun beds. Staff were lovely, especially Sara, she goes Above and beyond her duties. She was kind enough to take time out of her schedule and go out on a tour with me. I Certainly miss the view don’t the hotel!. The only minor downfall is that some of the native staff didn’t speak much English but there was plenty others around that could. A big thank you to Sara and Ali for helping me make the most of a bad situation. Also it’s refreshing to see that the senior members like Nigel are so understanding and action issues even if they’re minor, quickly and accordingly. I had an issue with a manicure at the spa and Nigel insured it was re-done correctly. The food at the hotel is nice and fresh but might be a little pricey for some but for me the view and the hospitably made it worth it!

Plastic mirage
The only pro about this hotel is the extreme hospitality of the staff. The cons are: 1) that everything in this hotel is made out of cheap plastic and covered with fake gold to look expensive. Even the desk fan attached to the ceiling instead of a normal ceiling fan, has a golden centre design detail. Reminds me of a nuveau riche apartment in downtown Cairo. 2) While clean in general, the room lacks cleaning in the areas which are not the first you look at. Think top of wall lamps, which are very dusty. 3) The room is extremely small, barely fits in the bed. 4) The interior design is untidy - the floor skirting boards (obviously made out of plastic, not wood) are cut roughly, without any polishing or covering plugs on its end. The suitcase holder is made by glueing plastic planks on a chest of drawers. The glass holes in the bathroom door are covered with rubber sealer. 5) The area around the hotel looks shady. They don't even have proper road leading to the hotel - it's a dust road, and it's covered with deep pot holes. I am sad to write such a review, I have never expected that a place which charges USD 472.50 a night for a basic room, can be so awful. The dearest they could fairly charge would be USD 60 a night.

Dear valuable guest, we normally appreciate constructive criticism but this report is based on one’s personal opinion and assumptions and thus warrants clarifications. The core objectives of any hotel is to be provide a comfortable stay to its guests which includes good accommodation, catering security, recreational facilities and services none of which our valued guest has faulted. Dear valuable guest, you appear to be quite happy with our obligatory facilities and services provided to you which in fact constitutes the good value for the money you paid. The concerns raised by you are trivial and seem to originate from your ignorance to distinguish a desk fan from an orbital ceiling fan, a plastic furniture and the HDF which is used internationally for manufacturing of furniture. You obviously do not realize the benefits of specially moulded plastic skirtings with built in concealed conduits for cables and its protection against damage by water and wood worms which are common menace in most tropical countries as against the old wooden skirtings. Condemning the hotel for dust and potholes on public trunk roads and failure to appreciate a fully paved half a kilometer-long feeder road leading to the door step of the hotel sounds unfair. You dislike for gold tints on the furniture etc.is a matter of personal taste and there is nothing we could do about it. Our Deluxe room measures 41 sqm and if you deemed it too small or uncomfortable than all you needed was to request for the change or complain but you did neither. Going as far as to discover particles of dust on the rim of a wall lamp, even if true, is really going too far to fault an otherwise immaculately clean bedroom. We regret to say that your observations are more of an amusing nature than a matter of concern. Our best regards. Marketing Department.

Leider muss ich sagen, dass das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen ist und die Betten unbequem waren. Auch die Sauberkeit könnte besser sein im Zimmer wie auch im Pool Bereich. Allerdings muss ich hervorheben, dass der Airport-Pickup gut funktioniert hat und ich keine Probleme hatte, vom Flughafen zum Hotel zu gelangen. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich und hilfsbereit, was meinen Aufenthalt angenehmer gestaltet hat.

Et greit hotell nær flyplass
Hotellet hadde et grei rom. Lokalisasjonen er ikke så langt fra flyplassen. Hotellet så fint ut utvendig. Rommene trenger litt bedre lys. Frokostbuffet var helt grei også, ikke noe ekstraordinært heller. Arbeiderne var serviceinnstilte. Overalt en grei opplevelse.
