"Room was clean and staff was efficient. Our room was a bit dark (not enough lights and d lights). Decor of the hotel was OK. But good location near food and shopping. "

"Excellent! Very friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Breakfast was fab…help yourself…plentiful and plenty of choice. Great location in a beautiful city. Only issue is that there were no opening windows in our room and the thermostat only went down to 20’C and no lower…so our nights were quite warm! That said, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you!"

"Overall, I had a very pleasant experience at this 5-star hotel in Haarlem. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and I especially loved the lounge area with complimentary coffee and drinks, which created a relaxing atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable. At first, we were a little confused about how to adjust the air conditioning because the room was not cool enough during the warm weather. However, once we contacted the staff, someone attended to us straight away and resolved the issue quickly, which we really appreciated. The reception staff were also helpful in allowing us to check in early. However, I feel the check-in experience could be more welcoming and informative. Compared to other 5-star hotels I’ve stayed in, there was very little introduction about the hotel amenities such as the spa, gym, breakfast area, or recommended places to visit around Haarlem. We had to ask for information like maps and facility locations ourselves. A warmer and more enthusiastic welcome would make guests feel more comfortable and valued. The gym could also be improved. There were no paper towels available to dry hands after washing, and no disinfectant wipes or sprays available for cleaning equipment, especially since some surfaces appeared dusty. There were also only two exercise mats available, so I had to wait for another guest to finish before I could use one.Despite these points, I still enjoyed my stay very much. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere, clean rooms, & responsve staff"

"Shout out to the staff Amber annd Teeuw and Blessy, very accommodating and friendly staff, made our stay comfortable. We unfortunately had a bad experience with the manager Nina , who had made us uncomfortable and had insulted us during our second day breakfast ( we came in 20 minutes before closing which was at 9:40, so my husband decided to get foods enough for us to eat and enjoy it / placed on our table so the dining staff can clean up at 10). Nina, saw us still eating at 10 and said in an unfriendly voice and statement , "Don't you know we close at 10? with a tone as if if we were ignorant. We didn't say a word. We already had food on our table enough to enjoy breakfast. Did she mean we had to devour all the foods in 15 minutes/ right at 10 and be done ? We travel twice a year in different countries and this is our first bad experience. Teeuw, after we told him our bad experience tried so hard to apeace us and helped us in exploring Haarlem. Amber / front desk was lively and charming and very helpful. "

"Great little hotel! Location is central to everything in Haarlem. Excellent breakfast, great coffee and a good wine list. We'd stay at Staats Boutique again!"

"Nice hotel in a good area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Most of the staff were really nice, except for one of the ladies that was at the front desk one morning. We had paid for our breakfast the night before and she didn’t believe us, even though we were showing her the receipt. She was extremely rude about it. She finally said “just go”. Breakfast didn’t have a good variety. Other than the breakfast fiasco, our stay was good. "

"The location was great and the staff was friendly. What we didn't know was there was a carnival going on right in front of our hotel, and that took away the charm of the city. The reason I booked this hotel was for the location, but the carnival put a damper on our visit. The bathroom was a strange set up (you had to walk in the shower to get to the toilet). Regardless, it was a good hotel based on location."

"The room we had was very clean, the beds were comfortable, but the ceilings in the room were very low (the room was under the eaves). While my family is of short stature, we were able to stay here, but this room would not have functioned well for a tall person. Also, the entrance to the room was through the closet--very strange layout. Other than that, staff was friendly, it had an elevator and was in a very convenient location near the Haarlem train station, but also near to the Haarlem tourist area---overall a good location if you are traveling by train."
