I booked twice, since in the middle of our trip we went to Patzcuaro and rented a cabin out there. The first time customer service was amazing! We were very pleased with the staff, and the facility.
Unfortunately, on our second stay, we had a terrible experience at the check-in. I did the booking on my name, and since my grandma was tired and wanted to rest, I wanted to let them know she was on her way and I will be there later that night. I called 16 times in an hor and they nevet answered. Eventually my grandma and my uncle got there and they told them there was no reservation on my name. I sent them a print screen of my expedia confirmation and they insisted that booking was not valid. Then I sent a print screen of the bank charge on my card, and when I was going to call expedia, they admitted they did not have a 2 full bed bedroom available, and they wanted to charge us for a bigger bedroom. Eventually they gave us a room with a queen bed and a sofa bed, but it took over an our for my family to get to the room.
In addition to this, (an per my uncle and grandma comments) girl at the desk was very rude. We know most hotels overbooked, but I think there’s no excuse for a bad customer service! This girl cost my rating 1 star; but the rest of the staff was incredile and otherwise I would’ve rated this hotel 5 stars
