We made our reservation last minute . The staff were so friendly and helpful they made us feel comfortable and it felt like home. It's a beautiful property it takes you back some years . Dinner was so delicious and once again an at home feeling. The easiest checkin and checkout we've ever experienced. Free parking & WiFi Its a family run business. Would recommend it to anyone 😊
Great food in a nice restaurant. Very spacious room with large comfortable bed. Staff very friendly - place a little old fashioned but good quality nonetheless.
Nice friendly pub with accommodation. Nice rooms (obviously used, but definitely not tatty or worn out), a proper lounge with a log fire for residents - all in all very cosy.
I had one of the best fillet steaks I have ever had for dinner in the bar, and a decent cooked breakfast in the morning.
All in all - a very pleasant place that I would definitely call "traditional" as opposed to modern.
I would definitely consider staying here next time I am in the area.
WE WHERE THIS AUGUST 21 2019 THIS PLACE IS SO CLEAN EXCELENT FOOD , BED AND ROOM SO CLEAN AND THE OWNERS ARE SO HELFULL EVERY THING SO PERFECT THAT WE WOULD LOVE TO GO BACK ANY TIME 100/ 100 / RECOMEND TIME.PABLO CERVANTES
I really don’t like to complain, but I was really disappointed with this place, we spent the most time there and never felt comfortable there. There we’re four of us ladies that shared a two double bed room. It was a nice room, but several of the lights didn’t work and they did come and replace the two by the bed, a floor lap also didn’t work and the owner came and asked “if we could live without it”? Which we could, but thought he was rude about it. Then the door knob was loose and hanging, but we could get it to work.
Our first night there we went to restaurant on premises, they did have table reserved for us, which was nice, but the lady that was our waitress made us feel Like we were trespassing and wasting her time and short with us. We had two more nights there, but decided not to have another meal there, besides breakfast which a lovely young lady who was just the total Opposite of the owners and bent over backwards to please everyone. We spent 10 days in Ireland and this was our least favorite experience. Everyone else in Town was wonderful, but we would not recommend Ahernes house to anyone. We would recommend anywhere else in Youghal, the town is quite nice and people in town where super friendly.
Very friendly and welcoming staff, and fantastic food. Nothing was too much effort for them. Really recommend. A little on expensive side but worth it to spoil yourself in the Restaurant
Excellent restaurant. Very friendly family run management team.

Friendly small hotel
This is a small friendly place. My room was spacious and comfortable if a little old fashion in style. Dinner was good with friendly service and a reasonable atmosphere.

The experience was absolutely perfect. The room was superb & spacious, beds very comfortable. Food was fantastic, and the staff were excellent.

Over priced
Hotel was fair and the location city not ideal. Way over priced for the level of the hotel. Missing on the small details. Nice little breakfast area except they had rap music playing on the $10 sound system.
Fabulous restaurant. Outstanding dinner and amazing breakfast. Hôtel was quiet but has a pub, great location, wonderful and friendly owners. Will come back someday!

Friendly and pleasant stay
We stayed at Aherne's for one night. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, the bed comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Our host John was very helpful and wanted to make sure we enjoyed our time at his hotel. Can recommend.
