"Being a senior citizen, I love the convience of parking and being able to request a first floor apt each time we stay. Always clean, kitchen not stocked well, but just two of us and we cook lightly, but cant imagine a family cooking in the kitchen. We love the pool and hot tub, but booket earlier than usual, hitting labor day crowd. No complaint, kids are kids, we just arent use to them anymore---LOL. My only complaint, yearly is the low toliets. Bad back, two knee replacements, make low ones like you have very hard getting down and up from them. I wish you would replace them, at least to average height or chair height would be even better or install rail or hand grip?"

"One of our favorite places we’ve ever stayed. For our 6 year old, the closets full of toys was like a treasure hunt! I’ve truly never stayed in such a kid friendly place. We stayed for over a week and could have stayed longer! Only downside was the train tracks with freight trains passing all hours of day and night, but it was a quirk of the place more than a detractor. The location was otherwise convenient, about 15 minutes to anywhere we wanted to go in Williamsburg area. We would definitely stay here again! Also, exercise room was a hit for my husband."

"We had a wonderful stay on the York River and would definitely recommend this house! It was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. The well-equipped kitchen, plenty of room to spread out, and three full bathrooms worked perfectly for our group of five adults. The fenced yard was also a huge bonus for our dog.We especially enjoyed the easy access to the river during the hot weather. The two kayaks, one canoe, and variety of life jackets made it easy to get out on the water, and the views from the house are beautiful. Although we didn't use the fire pit, it was a nice amenity to have available.The location was perfect for us, only about 20 minutes to the restaurants and shops in historic Gloucester, around 30 minutes to the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center, and less than an hour to Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg.The host was very responsive. We let them know the garbage barrels were full when we arrived and they arranged to have them emptied the very next day, which we really appreciated.The only thing future guests should know is that the house sits high on a hill. The elevation provides spectacular views of the river, but the walk down to the dock and waterfront could be challenging for anyone with mobility concerns.Overall, this was a great property in a peaceful location and we'd gladly stay here again."

"This was a great experience and we had a wonderful time. The home has plenty of space for a large group and we loved the pier, beach and water. It's not far from grocery stores and restaurants. It was our base of operations for Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown. We will definitely be coming back. "
