The internet was excellent, I got to actually do my work. Because it's a residential area, I used the transportation app to call the TT version of Uber. Very convenient. "What a special place to have stayed! The Pax Guest House is located atop Mount Saint Augustine in one of the nicest locations on Trinidad. Fantastic views from this well-preserved guesthouse that dates to 1925. Fantastic hosts manage this property. They are very helpful and reliable. The guesthouse provides a very delicious breakfast in the morning. Guests should be mindful however that bathroom facilities for some rooms (not all) are shared with other guests. "

"The property was beautiful. The room was comfortable and met every need. Enjoyed the pool and the quiet. The neighborhood did not seem safe, and there were no restaurants in close proximity, so a car is needed. Recommend for those not wanting to stay in Port of Spain. Host and staff were gracious and helpful. "

"The property is in the heart of San Juan, but the gps location is not accurate. We were able to call the owner who gave us actual directions to the property. Once we got there, everything improved. The owner contacted you in advance to confirm your stay, so that was nice. I had previously booked the property, and they cancelled it, and raised the rate. I was in a pinch, so I hesitantly rebooked it at the higher rate. The housekeeper, Ms. Doris, is a gem! She is so responsive, helpful, and a pleasure to be around. The property is clean, fully equipped, but slightly outdated. There was plenty of storage space, and a large kitchen. The bathroom was large with a standup shower, and hot running water. There is a large "smart" TV and Wifi (a little spotty). We used a VPN to get our local channels and apps. We got a complimentary breakfast every morning. It was a fulfilling local breakfast and a great way to start the day. There were no laundry facility on the premises, but they offered to wash and fold our clothes. The property is secured with a locked gate and there was indoor parking. There is an outdoor plunge pool that is also secured and covered, with a nice seating area. You should consider renting a car because public transportation is not that available. There are rideshare apps, private taxis, and delivery drivers, but the location is still in the "cut". However, I would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend it to my friends and family."
