Property was clean and large enough for our family friends to stay together while hiking in the area. Arcade games were a hit with the kids and adults!
Neat cabin, close to hiking and water access with beautiful views. Cabin can accomodate a large crowd and was well stocked with kitchen items and clean. Will definitely stay again if in the area.
Rustic and accommodating. Wildlife are everywhere and almost walking distance from canoe rentals and shuttle to the river. Side note the front porch is perfect for a baggo or cornhole tournament.
our family enjoyed our time at the cabin, it was raining during our stay .There was not much to do indoors around the area the cabin is great for big groups. very close to buffalo river we will probably come back in the summer. our kids enjoyed the hot tub the day that was not raining.
Big Buffalo was just perfect! Our group of four adults enjoyed how clean and spacious this cabin was. My wife and I chose the basement area bedroom and our friend couple took the main floor bedroom. We had our own separate spaces and didn’t have to worry about disturbing each other if someone wanted to get a little extra sleep or take a nap. The hot tub was a great bonus. We spent several evenings soaking with a lot of laughs and enjoying each others’ company. Overall it was a great first time lodging in Arkansa for our group. Definitely will do this again!

Big Buffalo Cabin
Cabin was a great location to where we floated at. We all had a great time until rashes on the day we checked out started appearing on the kids… we did contact Jay and he was very nice. The hot tub was dirty and do think that is what caused the rashes. We didn’t have check out instructions but did let Jay know and he knew it was something he hadn’t clicked since they had put it back on VRBO and was going to fix that.
Get together weekend with extended family. The cabin worked just fine. Looks like the owners are in the process of remodeling as bathrooms look like they just got an upgrade recently! It rained the whole weekend, so we didn’t get to hike like we planned, but it gave us plenty of inside time to chat and watch football. Living area could use more lamps (overhead glares on TV) and kitchen needs more mixing/serving bowls. We had a great time.
Overall, The Big Buffalo Cabin was great. Had everything we needed for the weekend. It was a bit odd(and loud), the way there was a hole in the main level bedroom’s closet with a fan circulating air. The cabin appeared clean, but had a bit of a musty odor(may just be the age of the cabin itself, not for sure on that). It had a beautiful wrap around porch, and nice hot tub. We also enjoyed the fire pit, but some more chairs that are around the fire pit would’ve been nice. A little pricey for a 2 night stay, but I guess inflation effects everything. The owners were very good about communicating, and it was easy to get into the cabin, as we were given a key code for the door. We had no problems with that. It’s just a hop, skip, and jump from Wild Bills Outfitters, which is where we always rent our canoes. I would stay here again with a large group. Plenty of room. But if you’re staying with “couples” and not kids, there is technically only 2 bedrooms. 3 if you want to include the small bedroom with a door in the basement. But, this is surrounded by all the twin and full beds that are more fit for kids. However, there plenty of beds in the basement for anyone that doesn’t mind to share the same room. There are also games in the basement, as well as a couch/tv area as well. Washer/Dryer bathroom, and a separate vanity in basement. Main level has bathroom as well. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen bed and full bed(I believe, may be a twin).
We enjoyed our weekend in the cabin 😊
This was a wonderful place. The host surprised me with having a Christmas tree and a bowl of apples and oranges ready for our stay over Christmas. The pergola space was lovely.
cabin was great. only issue was no king bed. Listing shows king but there were only queens. I slept with my 30 year old Son and we are both big men. Would have been better in a king.the rest of the cabin was great!
