The Whaler's Rest is exactly what you want in a motel. Well priced, clean, spacious, and the owners are very friendly.
The rooms are not fancy with designer fittings but that's not an issue because have everything you need: kettle, microwave, TV, tea & coffee, AC/Heating and, of course, beds. There is also free guest wifi and a breakfast service available. The bathrooms include a hair dryer and a daily towel replacement service (or you can opt to reuse your towels if you wish).

My room was spacious and had a comfortable bed and couch.
The staff consistently cleaned the rooms immaculately.

Port Fairy is a very pleasant place to spend a few days and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Anna and Steve, our hosts, were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. It was due to their welcoming that we stayed an extra day in Port Fairy.

This 3 bedroom cottage was just so well stocked with everything you need. It has a wonderful laundry on site and all in all a great stay. We were lucky enough to meet the owners of the property which made is a very warm personal experience. The swim spa was a lovely addition to the facility.The owners will be brightening up the cottages gradually as the one we were in was a little dark inside but great condition inside.
