"Nice staff and amazing breakfast set up with tons of options. However this property was poorly maintained with dirty carpets, mismatched locks, broken shower, etc. The pool and spa were sadly closed even though it was advertised as open when we booked. Good value for the area"
"My favorite thing about my visits to Heathman Lodge is the staff. They are always there to help, with a ready smile. They are friendly and approachable regardless of the time of day.
The rooms and facility are great as well, just a little dated, but well maintained.
When I travel to the Vancouver/Portland area for business, I always stay at Heathman Lodge and my experience never disappoints."
"We will absolutely be back! We stayed here during a recent trip for a concert at Cascades Amphitheater and were so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is very clean, smelled clean as soon as we entered and you could tell that the room was also clean - bathroom, bedding, surfaces. Definitely a plus that it is in such a nice area, too. There is a Safeway in the same parking lot, as well as a coffee stand and some fast food chains - some 24 hours. Super convenient for post concert nights! Even with the freeway being close, it was quiet. We were on the second floor near the stairway and didn’t have any problem hearing other guests, either. We will definitely be back!"
"Dog rooms are only on first floor. Two doubles (not queens) was tight for 3 people and a dog. Note that they charge you a $75 dog fee plus daily parking and resort fees separate from what you pay Expedia.
They said that you could eat on patio with dog but the restaurant with patio is not open for breakfast. We got food to go. They said it would be 30 minutes but was 90 minutes. Then they forgot the syrup, fruit and potatoes! The food was good at least. Restaurant staff not helpful or knowledgeable. They should just say we are busy and it will take 90 minutes. We would have gone into town.
In the summer be prepared for weddings and conferences. It is a popular spot.
The room was clean and if you get a room with a view, it is beautiful. Grounds are nice and well cared for."
"We just stayed at this hotel and had such a great stay! The property is right on the Lewis River and the grounds are meticulously maintained. There are lovely trees and flowers. We sat for hours on our private deck watching the river go by and listening to the birds.
The staff was amazing. Kind and truly friendly. The continental breakfast we enjoyed was generous. Yogurts, fruits, pastries, bagels and other breads. As well as instant oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, and my favorite, waffles!
We hope to visit again soon"
"We came into town for a family reunion in Portland. This was a little bit more money I wanted to pay but compared to all the others it was affordable. It was money well spent. The room & bathroom were so clean they felt brand new. The beds are super comfortable. The area was safe and it was easy to get pretty much anywhere I needed to go in Portland within 15 to 20 minutes. I would definitely recommend."
