This is the 2nd time we have stayed at The Grand Hyett , previously as the Dreams. Nothing has changed, we love the preferred club rooms, the concept of the lounge, being able to nip and make a coffee or have sandwich. The rooms are amazing, with a massive big TV , filled mini bar to be used free of charge, lovely toiletries, slippers, dressing gowns etc, all that you would expect from a hotel of this standard. We had a lovely room overlooking the adult only pool and the Rubicam Marina, it is right opposite a lovely beach We would definitely recommend the Grand Hyett Plays Blanca , we cannot wait to go back

Not a 5* and not up to the standard of a ‘Grand Hyatt’. In fact one of my friends had stayed here before when it was called ‘Dreams’ and nothing has changed with the property. The food was average at best, the was a cafe with rude staff who were impatient. The best thing about this hotel was the Appletiser available as all inclusive!

Another gorgeous week at the hotel - rooms again were spotless, staff always helpful and the Horizon Club pool fabulous. Location is perfect with so many choices of restaurants within 5-10 mins walk. Breakfast spot on with a great choice of food - nice to have a freshly made crepe each morning!!! The only thing I would ask is that the restaurants cater better for vegetarians - the only night we ate at the hotel (we generally like to eat out) the only option was a veggie burger but it was one made of vegetables like our kids got at school not a veggie Pattie.

We loved the relaxed feel Of the hotel and our little Boy really enjoyed and mini discos and meeting other children. Please please please heat the children’s pool as you would get a lot more children in there if you did. We found ourselves going in the smaller pool in the main area as that was the only one heated

It’s not 5 star accommodation. We stayed in the master suite and found cockroaches in our room on 3 days during the week. I wouldn’t recommend if you have a food allergy- husband had a lot of difficulty people understanding a dairy intolerance, and was served incorrect food nearly every night we ate in the restaurants. Restaurants as a whole are very sub par- in particular the Asian was abysmal. Ordered a pad Thai and served packet noodles with a teriyaki sauce. Buffet was ok- but again if you have an allergy there seemed to be a lot of cross contamination by people.
