This cozy, relaxing, and comfortable home in Yachats is a great place to enjoy a nice beach getaway. With plenty of space for four people, dog-friendly attitude, and even a private hot tub, you will feel right at home here!

Located about five minutes north of Yachats, this home is in a quiet neighborhood and is a short drive to the beautiful, uncrowded beach! Spend your mornings beachcombing, looking for tidepools, and walking along the sandy shore, then head into town for a nice lunch at a restaurant and some gallery browsing!

This two-bedroom, one-bathroom home easily accommodates four guests, and you are even welcome to bring up to two dogs with you (though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply)! Your furry friends will love walking on the beach just as much as you will.

Inside, a colorful and warm color scheme will greet you. Sit in the living room area and pick a DVD to watch (or bring along one of your favorites), play video games on the Nintendo gaming system, stream Netflix, choose a board game to play, use the Internet to look up activities, or simply sit and enjoy the crackling warmth of the wood-burning fireplace.

The full kitchen has all major appliances, so cooking during your stay will be a breeze! When it's time to head to bed, choose between the room with the soft, full-size bed, or the second bedroom which has a queen-size bed and a door that opens up to the deck. Head out to the backyard for s'mores at the fire pit.

Outside you will find a lovely hot tub! Located under a roof, you will love sitting in the marvelously relaxing hot tub anytime, especially during one of the coast's frequent rainstorms - just imagine listening to the rain bounce off the roof while you relax in the hot tub!

This home would be a perfect budget-friendly way for a small group of people to enjoy a beach getaway. Yachats has plenty to keep you busy, but if you start to yearn for a larger city, head north about 25 minutes to reach Newport, where the aquarium, antique shops, and huge variety of restaurants will certainly keep you entertained!

When you're ready for a nice vacation to the coast, this lovely home in Yachats is ready and waiting for you!

Lovely cottage in a quiet setting

We thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay at the Getaway. We found the place to cozy, cute, clean and comfortable. The home is a the end of dead end road and is very quiet and peaceful. You can hear the ocean at all hours.

President's Day Weekend

Upon arriving the house was spotless. Whoever did the cleaning did an awesome job. The hot tub was a relaxing way to end the day. Lots of hiking and outdoor options just a short drive away. Only complaint was lack of hot water in bathroom sink.

A very charming quiet little house. Just five minutes on foot to the beach. The bathroom was clean as was the kitchen which was generally well equipped for cooking. Some out-of-the-way surfaces/floors were dusty (top of fridge, under furniture) but this was a minor observation. We had to call and ask for the hot tub cover lock combination as it was nowhere to be found. Some nozzle fixtures were loose in the hot tub which didn't affect operation. Overall, the place offered a relaxing, comfortable experience. Not fancy, just nice. The cleaning crew could be a bit more attentive to their work, outside (cigarette butts in fire pit) and in.

On arrival we found a piece of feces in the toilet bowl. It took SEVERAL pumps to get body wash, conditioner and shampoo out of the containers in the shower. Unreliable and spotty Wi-Fi. Over-priced. Will not return here, never refer family or friends and will not use Vacasa again.

Getaway get away from WA

Comfortable small private home in a quiet setting off hwy 101. Short drive to beaches and Yachats, Waldport & Newport. Fenced yard helpful for bringing our dog & letting her roam. Outside seating could be more comfortable so we brought our own camp chairs into the yard. Would be fun with another couple (or kids)to have a fire in the 'pit'. All the household amenities available if needed; oven, stove, grill, dishwasher, TV, DVD player, stereo, wifi....even a great library of books! All in all we enjoyed our visit and the closeness of towns & beaches to explore!

Cute home, except for…

Bats, there are bats in the attic and we needed to remove them from the home each night of our stay. Decor was dated, but it was clean and comfortable. Would rent again provided the bar issue is resolved.

Nice, quiet stay

The property is small, but just the right size for the four of us with our dog. The home is older, but had everything we needed. It was nice to enjoy the firepit and the hot tub in the evening under the stars. The walk to the beach is a bit longer than advertised. It took about 10 minutes. This is a nice place and location for a relaxing time away.

Great for a weekend trip

Cute little down to earth property. It's kind of worn down but not in a way that really bothers you. You can technically walk to the beach although you have to walk down the highway and it did not feel safe. It's an adorable town super cool Crystal shop a lot of fun little things to do. Probably would stay here again.

Cute little beach house. House was clean and hot tub was nice. Only complaint is the beds, mainly the one in the room near the hot tub. Felt like an old matress someone found on craigslist or something. Worst sleep ive had in awhile. You need the hot tub to help your body after trying to sleep on that bed.

OK if you just want a place to crash at the beach with your dog

The positives - the yard is nice and fenced so your dog can be off leash to potty or when you're using the hot tub (if you can get the hot tub to work). There is a nice sized table in the kitchen for playing games/puzzles, etc. The house is very quiet at night and you can hear the ocean. It's not far from Yachats. The negatives - the hot tub goes into a power saving mode and there are no instructions on how to get it into a heating mode. We called for help and didn't get it until the night before we left. We had to do an internet search and it took overnight to get it to heat up. It's a 2 person if you're both on the smaller side, otherwise a one person but nice. The only heating option for the larger living spaces is a small electric fireplace that puts out a bad moldy smell. We turned the base board heater in one room on high and left it there while we closed off the other. The bathroom shower/tub has no grip or grab bar and is very slippery. The house had no cell service on Verizon, but we were able to use wifi calling. There was dog poo in the yard when we got there. The house is at the end of a dark gravel road. If if was traveling solo I would have felt a bit uncomfortable. With 2 of us and our large dog it felt safe though.

Old and stinky home. We would have looked past it, if it wasn't for the unwashed, pet and human hair covered sheets in one of the rooms and the mice poop all over the kitchen counter and dining table. We kept getting dog kibble under our feet (not from our pup because she has specific food) so we vacuumed the home and washed the sheets.

Learning experience

I had been eyeing this rental for some time and decided to try it out, mainly because of the cost. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. Positives: -location. It is a quick walk to the beach. Negatives: -the home was not very private. There is another house right on the other side of the small yard. -the home was dingy. -the hot tub was tiny. I did not know they made them that size. It also faced a wall if you wanted to use the jets. -there was dog poop all over the back yard from the previous occupant. Other: The house is advertised as having free streaming Netflix. It did not. It had roku. Vacasa said it's the same thing. I disagree. -there was confusion about the wifi. Vacasa kept saying it was under a certain account, but I could never find it. Overall, I would not stay here again.

Clean and good location

House was as advertised however difficult to find in the dark. House numbers are not near the door but on side of house with lots of bushes. There are house numbers on the corner of the fence but we did not see them in the dark. The house was clean and close to HWY 101. We did not use the hot tub but the house itself fit our needs very well. We appreciated the washer and dryer. We were unable to watch television as the shows would not load but that was not a big deal. I would recommend this home and would stay again.

Gateway House

The house met our needs very well. 2-bedrooms and a place for our dog. There was firewood for the backyard fire pit. The neighbors are a lot closer than you see in the pictures, but did not bother us. The fenced yard is a plus. We had a good time.

Hot tub was gross

Everything was fine except the hot tub. We tried to use it on the first night and immediately after getting in, my wife and I felt slimy. We checked it out in the day time and saw that it was not clean. My wife has pictures of it. I messaged Vacasa and they told me they were reaching out to the local manager, no one ever replied. I tried reaching out again and received no response. We couldn’t call anyone since we did not have service at the house.

What a scam! Absolutely horrible experience!

Let’s begin with the fact that we have never experienced this situation with VRBO or Vacasa in the past. We have had wonderful times, and have rented over 15 houses for family occasions and just to get away for my husband and myself. This time the house smelled horrible, the house is nowhere near the beach or town as advertised on VRBO. The photos are not updated, for the “seclusion” noted in prior reviews is no longer there. There are houses on all sides of the house and the neighborhood was very sketchy! We couldn’t possibly stay there, and I contacted the owner, VRBO and Vacasa immediately after we left. After waiting for a long time for a definitive response I finally was told that the owner would not be reimbursing us at all. This is a total scam!!!!!! Get people to rent the property without seeing or being told the truth is not possible with this owner. Wondering how many times this has occurred with other renters. They are taking the money probably hoping that the renter will not stay and because the refund is no longer returnable, you have no recourse. And they keep your money. With us, it was over $700! Maybe they should have a clause in the agreement that after someone says they can’t possibly stay there due to the conditions of the house, the owner should fully refund the funds paid for the entire stay! You will be disappointed if you rent this house! Undeniably the worst experience we have ever had.
