Overall, it was a nice stay at the Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou. I was there with my family. The hotel's proximity to the Taikoo mall was very convenient. What I found a bit sub par for a world renowned 5 star is the communication. There was some email exchanges with request for a restaurant booking but in the end, the booking was not done correctly. I recently had a similar request at the Rosewood Bangkok and everything was much more professional. The design of the day sheer curtain was also abit odd, leaving it looking very shabby for a lux hotel. Light switches was also quite frustrating to use. The pool is mediocre. Other than that, it's fine.

One of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The property is conveniently situated and well maintained. Rooms were comfortable and spacious. The staff were exceptionally professional and friendly. There is a convenient store steps away from hotel lobby.
Cons would be the pool availability which is very limited due to the overwhelming amount of kids swim lessons, (for non hotel guests), there are. Another disappointment was I booked the two bedroom suite because of the washer/dryer it came with but the dryer is not operating as it should and clothes don’t come out dry.
