Cosy Guest House in the "Weingut am Stein" with Terrace and View of the Vineyards

Welcome to the winery "Weingut am Stein"! Take your time... Find peace... Feel at ease... And enjoy different flavours, impressions, scents, moments & sensations. Spend an unforgettable time-out in our guesthouse near Würzburg city centre. Built in 2005 from natural Franconian shell limestone in harmony with nature and sustainable raw materials. We are a fifth-generation organic winery and live our philosophy not only in the local vineyards. Feel at home in the midst of the Würzburg stone and experience pleasure, culinary delights and hospitality. A small, exclusive wine tasting rounds off your stay with pleasure and is included in the price.

Our 2-storey guest house consists of a fully equipped living-dining kitchen with a fireplace, a spacious bathroom and an additional toilet. The bedrooms "city view" and "vineyard view" have queen-size beds. A sofa bed for one additional guest is available in the separate "Vineyard View" study. An extra bed for children aged 4-10 can be booked for an additional charge. A baby cot is also available. Bed linen is included. In the bathroom, we pamper you with BIO-certified hand soap and shower gel as well as cosy hand and bath towels.

Würzburg railway station is 1km - 12 minutes walk and the city centre 15 minutes walk away. The nearest airports are Nuremberg at 112km and Frankfurt at 119km.

A free public car park (parking disc needed) is located directly in front of the house.

To keep our guest house free of allergens, pets are not allowed.

Smoking in the house is prohibited.

Check In: 3 - 6 pm in our wine bar (later check-in on request). Check Out: by 11 am.

The hosts speak German and English.

Nice stay

Pros: We enjoyed it very much over New Year’s eve. Fantastic View, sleeping rooms and bathroom. Kitchen was very good equipped. You can start walking in the vineyards directly from the house. Perfect wines. Cons: Location is above the train station, view is very nice but we expected a little more in the vineyards. Electricity not up date (Wackelkkontakt im Schalter, flackerndes Licht in der Küche). You can see that furnitured in the living room could be replaced. TV is 20 years old and not acceptable. Vineyard was closed - not communicated when we booked, we couldn’t enjoy the vineyard on Saturday what we expected. No response when we wrote an email, only out of office reply. Owners were there, they didn’t say hello to us, we have seen them walking around. No hospitality when you stay and nobody spoke with you.

This guest house was the perfect solution for our visit to Bavaria with my husband's mom. It offers plenty of room, a beautiful view, and is very close to the city. We also enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting provided by the hosts at the winery. It's best to have a car if you book this house, although the train station is very close. There's also a bakery nearby that offers basic essentials. We enjoyed ourselves, and would book again.

It is a great location - very close to the main train station and to most of the city landmark sites. We had one of the best wine tastings ever with an amazing English language overview of Frankische wines but also wine making and the region. Big thanks to Max! The apartment is beautiful, clean and well appointed. There are some things to consider, however. The home is open to the Winery staff through the basement and they were present throughout our stay working in the basement without any door or other obstruction to the living spaces above. While we were there, many events were being prepared for which was fine and not a problem until they were running a leadblower at 6:30am. All in all, a great place and definitely recommend if you are good with staff access to the apartment.

Tolles Haus mit sehr schöner Lage und sehr freundlichen Gastgebern

Pros: Herrlicher Blick über Würzburg und auf die Weinberge. Sehr gute Weine am Abend genießen. Gute Ausstattung Cons: Die Matratzen sind in die Jahre gekommen und sollten erneuert werden. Betten könnten etwas breiter sein. Kleinere Auffrischung würde dem Haus gut bekommen.
