"I had a very disappointing experience at Colonial Inn. First, I was placed in a smoking room—something I didn’t even realize still existed. The smell was overwhelming and completely unacceptable. It was so bad that we had to keep the windows open the entire time and even went out to buy a candle just to make the room somewhat bearable. When I asked to switch rooms, I was told the hotel was fully booked, so we were stuck dealing with it. To make matters worse, they charged a $100 security deposit, and it has now been two weeks with no refund. When I called to follow up, the staff member I spoke to was extremely rude and didn’t even bother checking whether the deposit had been released. Between the condition of the room, lack of accommodation, and poor customer service, this stay fell far below expectations. I would not recommend staying here."

"Never said construction would be happening, random doors were open constantly and in the pool area, it was 34° outside. All the ice-makers were broken and you had to go to the front desk for them to get it from the kitchen. 2nd floor reeked like weed, I could’ve smoked myself, there was no accountability. The lids for the coffee didn’t even fit the cups:.."

"Yes. Parking - why a fee to park?????? - Why not just a slip with legit number provided by the hotel that reaffirms you are a quest? Am I paying for the security of the parking area - please!!!! I did not see anyone go out and check the premisses for vagrants nor people breaking into the cars and again I say if you are so greedy to make a dollar - make sure you post someone outside for safety sake. By the way if a car is broken into does the hotel have insurance to cover the cost of stolen goods or the car ????? So why does the customer pay for parking - oh, I know - extra money - if 40 to 100 cars park a night - free 400 to 1000 extra dollars to the hotel - great customer service!!!!!!????"
