Lovely log cabin, well appointed, comfortable and convenient. Well stocked with utensils/appliances for cooking. Great location for wineries and hiking. Communication with host was easy and helpful.
We really enjoyed our week's vacation. The host was so helpful and provided everything we needed. The area was very quiet and the property well maintained. The weather was perfect during our stay, so that was a plus! Many thanks to the host!
4 adult siblings and a spouse enjoyed a brief stay in the area. The property was as described and comfortable. We did not do any meal prep but it looked like it would have everything you’d need.
We had no issues and would recommend this property to others.
The house is so lovely. It was so peaceful to sit out on the porch and hear the sounds of nature.
The kitchen had all the pots, pans, dishes, small appliances, etc. that we needed. The ping pong table and air hockey are a fun extra. We really enjoyed our stay!!
We really enjoyed our stay. The view was amazing. Very clean and everything was as listed. The host took the time to know me and even brought my daughter a birthday present. She was very good would communication and we did not want to leave. Definitely worth the stay.
The property was as described in the listing. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the porch, the swing and rocker were a big hit. I definitely recommend this home if you wait to stay near Galax.
This was my second stay at this cottage with my friends for our annual fishing trip. The cottage has everything we need for a very nice stay. Fan is a great host and responded to a request in two minutes. She has made some very nice improvements to the property this year. My friends and I really love the place and will always try to stay here when fishing in this part of Virginia.
For the second year in a row we chose this home as our midway destination on the way to the Outer Banks. Yes, we liked this place so much we came back again.
This home is very comfortable, clean and well taken care of. Exactly as advertised.
We were surprised to see the brand new, never been used fire pit area! Not sure if it will be available for renters, but if so, just another great amenity!
We can't recommend this home enough.

Excellent stay! Beautiful cabin; very quiet and well appointed with games, TV, and a library on second floor. Just overall wonderful! The only suggestion for the host: a driveway mirror at the entrance to see vehicle traffic as you exit and more edge assistance on the driveway to avoid the vehicles going off into the ditch but yay we liked the edge lights on the driveway at night ..very helpful. Also, liked the jacuzzi bath in the Master but the Vrbo listing as “hot tub” is a misnomer. But overall 5 stars and enjoyed our stay!

This home is immaculate! Spacious and room to play and unwind after a long time in the car. The land and huge lawn provided opportunity to sit on the porch or walk down the lane to find and listen to the bullfrogs, see a fawn and doe, rabbits, plentiful bluebirds and goldfinches. The wild berry bushes and plentiful milkweed and cattails entices even more pollinators and wildlife. Truly enjoyed our stay. There was a little glitch upon arrival that the host was quick to respond to and help us troubleshoot. Over all great house and property.
The property was very clean upon our arrival. It was very spacious as well. Every thing we needed was present for dining. The ping pong table was great and we even had a competition. The only negatives I can think of was the driveway was a bit scary when turning in after dark and the description of the cabin indicated a jacuzzi. We could not find it until we realized it was the tub in the downstairs bathroom. Overall, I would give this a 4 out of 5. We had a great time and enjoyed exploring some of the small nearby towns.
This was our 3rd annual stay. Fan is a great host and this is our favorite place to stay for our annual fishing trip. The cottage has everything we need for a comfortable trip.
Beautiful location. We are long haul travelers so we wish we had stayed longer. This was just an overnight stop over for us. But it was very beautifully put together, more than enough space for the whole family.
This was the 3rd time that we have stayed in this awesome home on our way to the OBX. As always, the home was very clean, well taken care of, and very comfortable. If we weren't impressed we wouldn't have booked this home three different times.
Our family spent a short trip one night in June 2025, and we were very pleased with the place. The house is spotless, and everything is very welcoming and well-organized. The antique piano is a plus, and the ping-pong and air hockey tables are fun. We sure would love to come back and stay at this place.
