excellent, clean, comfortable rooms, in a slightly quirky environment - there's no doubt where you are with VW Beetle memorabilia everywhere - photos on the walls in the lobby, rooms etc. Easy walking distance from Autostadt which is what most people staying here will be going to visit, and there's a designer shopping centre nearby too with lots of restaurants and plenty of choice. Only minor issue was we arrive and parked our car in the underground car park, then walked to the hotel to find a 'closed' notice on it - but a message saying all bookings had been transferred to the InnHotel by Melia, next door (the garage is shared). Reception told is it was a holiday season, and not enough bookings to justify both hotels, so they shut one and just used the other. The review is therefore about a different hotel to the booking I made...! I'm sure both have similar facilities and functions though.

Ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Hotel Meliá Wolfsburg! Das Zimmer war sauber, modern und gemütlich, genau richtig zum Wohlfühlen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal – man fühlt sich wirklich willkommen. Die zentrale Lage ist perfekt, um die Stadt zu erkunden oder geschäftlich schnell überall hinzukommen. Ich komme gerne wieder und kann das Hotel absolut weiterempfehlen!

Der Check-In Prozess war extrem schlecht. Sehr unfreundliche Mitarbeiterin. Zunächst hieß es, ich müsse umquartiert werden, weil das Hotel überbucht sei (obwohl ich Buchungsbestätigung und Zahlungsbestätigung vorweisen konnte). Dann sollte ich auf die Managerin warten (die nicht kam). Nach etwa 10 Minuten hieß es, es sei ein Fehler im System und "... es sei doch alles gut gelaufen" - das finde ich nicht.

Das Hotel ist nahe der Autostadt, was uns wichtig war und schnell zu Fuß erreichbar. Im Zimmer gab es keinen Kühlschrank und das Hotel hat nur einen Aufzug, was zu gewissen Wartezeiten führt. Es ist wohl eher auf Geschäftsleute ausgelegt. Das Frühstück war in Ordnung.
