Much to our horror, this hotel was 50kms from Groningen where we were to stay 3 days. The taxi cost us $320 AU. We thought it was in a suburb of Groningen. The owner was lovely and helped us find another hotel in Groningen for 2 days as we wanted to visit art galleries. It is in a lovely town but not what we wanted. Won’t be using Wotif again.

Hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and shops. There is limited parking places, but the parking in front of the hotel is free. Breakfast was included and was delicious. They had a nice variety of things to choose from (bread, croissant, yogurt, crackers, fruit, etc). Our room was neat, clean, spacious and comfortable with everything we needed. Our kids slept in a separate room with 2 single beds and desk. Only negative point is drunk and loud people outside our window that kept us awake late at night. Overall very pleased with the property and room.

The room was clean but a little basic. The reason I can't give this hotel a higher score is because it was near two or three bars, and it was very noisy. People coming in to the hotel at 2 am very noisy. It's kind of funny because one of the free accessories in the room where earplugs. I am thinking that the manager of the place is aware of this noise issue and the rooms are definitely not sound-proofed but if you're looking for a quick stay and are willing to wear earplugs to sleep, then I can recommend this place. However, I would not return here.
