"Nice boutique hotel in an old chocolate factory. Red brick building with views of the Mississippi River just a block away. Easy walking along the river and to downtown bars, restaurants, and shops. There are several franchise/chain hotel options downtown, but the Charmant is the unique boutique. "

"The Hotel has potential but half of it was under construction and that was not listed anyplace when I booked or I would not have stayed there. The pool was open but looked bad with all the construction going on. The Room was ok but the bed had stains on it and the bathroom was not clean. The AC unit was loud and very old and it would cut on and off every 5 min I could not sleep all night because how loud it was. "

"Overnight young girl with always on her phone. Never checking when breakfast items ran out. Did not clean during breakfast, it was a mess. The breakfast was terrible and insufficient."

"We had a great stay! Our suite was huge! We enjoyed the complimentary drinks and played pool in the bar. The hot tub and pool were excellent, and we appreciated the one hour (10-11) designated for adults only. "

"Rarely, if ever saw any staff. Do have to say that the complimentary breakfast isn't much. Hot water (for tea or hot cereal) was always ice cold as was the coffee that they would put out. I realize you can put it in the microwave for a few minutes but if you're putting out pots that state Hot coffee or Hot water for tea then they should be just that HOT. otherwise everything is fine - I don't lounge around the hotel. I'm there to attend events at the Equestrian Center throughout the year, so this is my hotel of choice and I like it here. . "
